No, my favorite in the twittersphere is “ They had to play Kawhi 40 min to beat us”.

Lebron played 35.

DLo played 40.

Them being on a back to back most certainly helped.

But, not why the lost.

They lost because nobody could stop Powell.

They lost because their coach is a MORON and let Zu absolutely COOK Gabriel.

They lost because their others were ass and ours were not.

I got no smoke for any Lakers fans, outside of @DJ ….lol

There's just a lot of talk/implications (not here necessarily) about why Russ (and Bev) didn't work as Lakers (including chatter from them directly) which doesn't take salary into account. Sure, they're much better fits with their current teams on buyout deals lol, but as the expensive players they were previously (and less talent on the roster overall as a result), their deficiencies couldn't be covered up as much by their teammates.

Seeing Russ strut around like "how dare you trade me" last night was a bit much, lol. Of course he's up cheering his teammates last night after being benched for most of the second half, but his sulking with the Lakers was not fake news.

But, my biggest problem was that it woke up Lebron.

You are right about the money though.

It’s a lot easier to bench a guy making 700k than a guy making 47 mil.

With that being said, he has fit in well with the Clips and has contributed to winning.

He has not been a problem.
