So you guys are saying. They will use our 6th round pick as a safety?

Image result for I'm calm gif'm calm gif
If he plays CB, then that makes our ridiculous reach of a pick in the 3rd unexplainable and indefensible.

The 4th round tackle Ball reminds me of Doug Free a little.. Some serious character issues with this guy though! As a player though he is actually very good. Quick feet and good technique. He has the potential to start if Smith or Collins go down.and he is way better than Terrance Steele!

its a bit of rah rah about our draft picks but curious thing I didnt know of our Late WR.

Simi Fehoko is exactly the type of prospect worth taking a chance on in the fifth-round of a deep receiver class. He has something none of those other receivers can boast: 6-foot-4 length. Running a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at that size is ridiculous.

WTF. Did you mean to switch accounts while talking to yourself and agreeing with yourself?

Nah. Had just smoked some good weed right before I wrote that. It is surprising that they drafted him. He probably will get suspended by Godell for 6 games to start the season.

I heard this too and thought it was a long time ago and nothing since (that I know of). Not really sure what to think other than the guy is supposed to be good enough to be drafted way earlier if not for this on his record.

A pre draft write up on Odighizuwa

"On a rate basis, his 2020 season ended up being his best overall. In only seven games, Odighizuwa had 30 tackles, six for losses. a career-high four sacks and 13 hurries."

That's a pretty good season. If he gets that weight up a little from 280 and doesn't lose any quickness he might really be something at the 3 tech

My two biggest mulligans I'd like from this draft are the CB at #99 and not grabbing Trey Smith. Guys on the draft show alluded that we were looking at him when he went to KC right before our pick. Wonder if that was true or not. Even if he is 50/50 to be healthy it's not like 6th rounders are more than 50/50 to be on the team in 2 years

Damn, we got Vasher eh? I like him. This guy would be my jump ball specialist.

We do need a blocking TE

Artayvious Lynn NFL Draft Scouting Report | Tight End

Positives: Nice-sized tight end who stood out as a blocker for TCU. Starts with good knee bend, squares into opponents, and works blocks. Strong, keeps his head on a swivel, and always looks for someone to hit. Explosive, stays square and seals opponents from the action. Settles into the open spot of the field and extends and exposes himself to the big hit, yet pulls the ball from the air. Adjusts to the errant throw and gives effort after the catch.

Negatives: Lacks speed and a burst. Rumbles around the field.

Analysis: Lynn is more like a sixth offensive lineman on the field rather than a tight end, and he projects as a No. 3 at his position used in short-yardage situations.

T.J. Vasher NFL Draft Scouting Report | Wide Receiver

Positives: Tall and usually sure-handed receiver coming off a terrible campaign. Tracks the pass in the air, gets vertical, and effectively times receptions. Exposes himself to the big hit in order to come away with the tough catch. Follows the quarterback across the field to make himself an available target, adjusts to the errant throw, and displays solid eye/hand coordination. Uses the sidelines well, comes back to the action, and offers the quarterback a target.

Negatives: Lacks deep speed and a second gear. Really shows no burst in his game. Unnecessarily let the pass get inside him at times last year. Has a thin build, struggles in battles, and will struggle handling jams at the next level.

Analysis: Vasher showed terrific development in his game during his sophomore and junior seasons at Texas Tech, but he took a big step back last year when he was a non-factor most of the time. He’s a tall, thin pass catcher with natural receiving skills who will struggle separating at the next level. He offers possibilities as a possession receiver, but Vasher is now starting from scratch in many ways.

From PFF

No interior defensive lineman was more dominant at the Senior Bowl than Odighizuwa. He was the highest-graded player at the position both during the week of practice and in the game itself, winning with power and quickness. Odighizuwa also has four seasons of solid-run defense grades on his resume from his time at UCLA. He addresses a clear area of need for Dallas. Their defensive tackles were regularly blown off the ball in 2020.

His marshal tape is impressive. Now the competition may not be great but he still stood out on tape. He reminds me of Doug Free and Columbo frame wise although he could stand to gain some weight . He did not allow very much pressure to QB and he looks like he is very agressive in the running game and gets to the second level easily. . A "significant" upgrade over Steele and Knight IMO. I really like him as a player. Not sure how he fits in locker room. Quite an investment by the cowboys using a 4th round pick on this guy.
