TNT has 10 points and 5 assists but he's a ballhog....LOL.

Cmon man.

Not saying anything about THT specifically, but Some of The biggest ball hogs in NBA history have led the league in assists.

Getting assists doesn’t man you aren’t a ball hog.

THT has been making a LOT of mistakes but he has just been thrust into being the teams primary ball handler the last two games, with the Lakers’ first three options being out.

Fortunately he’s still more than 6 months away before he can legally buy a beer so he has plenty of development time.

My post isn’t about THT.

DJ routinely posts simple stats as evidence for his claims, but they don’t always illustrate what he wants them to.

Only things I care about in this final week

1) The Lakers avoiding the Clippers in Round 1

2) Rooting for anything that gives us Nets/Knicks in Round 1

Boston ruined that for us

Lol yep does it all the time. I laughed when i saw that post about THT. I don't watch THT enough to know if he's a ball hog or not but if he is then one game when lakers were without their pgs wouldn't change that

He's learning. He's more ball stopper than ball hog. He often looks to score when he should be moving the ball to the next guy.

I think these couple of games at PG may be good for him because he can't look for his own shot first every time down like he can when Lebron or 1 of the other PG's is running the offense.

It’s so hard for young guys to “figure it out” and you’ve pointed out why. They’re often the 6th-8th guy on the team and with injury the role they play can stop on a dime and be altered. I haven’t seen the kid a lot but when I have dialed into a Lakers game he impressed but like any young player he lacks that consistency right now from one night to the next. A feather in his cap though is that he’s a high energy player that can impact the game a number of ways and his effort always seems to be there despite making the youthful mistakes.

And last night he had 23 points and 10 assists with just 3 TO's.

Lakers fans,

@ChiefsLakers67 @trojanfan12 @DJ @Retroram52 @True Lakers Fan

Which scenario would you rather have?

Lakers move back up to the 6th seed, automatic playoffs but face the Clippers in the 1st round
Lakers stay 7th, face Warriors in play in, win and face Suns in the 1st round
Lakers stay 7th, lose to Warriors in first round, beat Spurs/Griz for 8th seed and face Jazz in 1st round

I would rather finish the season as healthy as possible. If that includes winning out and getting the 6th seed, great! Jazz/Suns/Clips doesn't matter IMO if the Lakers are healthy and gelling.

Yeah, we have to win out and hope Portand loses out to Dallas and Phoenix.....which is possible.

Not impossible but Dallas would have to go 1-3 and the Lakers 4-0 to close off the season

Well, here's where we stand now:

5. Blazers (41-29): at Suns, vs Nuggets
6. Mavericks (41-29): vs Raptors, at Wolves
7. Lakers (40-30): at Pacers, at Pelicans

Blazers could easily lose both. Mavs and Lakers could easily win both. Interesting to see how this shakes out. Lakers should be basically back at full strength for the final 2 games (of course, Lebron may be handled with kid gloves).
