Thinking more about the Amico tweet and other than Love just not sure who the other players would be. Obvious one could be Love, though I think he'd buy in if they find a stud in draft and are winning.....Doubt it would be any of the youngsters who are not part of the core who likely go back to the G League if not here. .......It's not Nance who is from here. .........Not Delly as he is hurt. ..........Could it be Sexton, Garland or Okoro? I guess, but wouldn't they rather be somewhere where they can get huge minutes with a better chance to put up numbers to get their first huge contract?............. Allen? This is possible, as sure could be argued he'd rather be on a winner. Though without a huge deal yet, also might fall in with Sexton, garland and Okoro and maybe would rather be where he can play more and put up more numbers for his big deal this summer. Prince? Kind of the same as Allen but a year behind (and has had a 2nd contract already)

While it could be true, could it be less credible with a nameless former player used as the source about other nameless current players?

I mean, is this possible some guys might want out because of all the losing? Sure. But could all the losing be because they are in a rebuild and the core pieces are 4 guys who were young enough to play in the NCAA Tourney (along with Nance)? This is year 3 of the rebuild. Many of the teams who have finally turned things around took far longer. This is year 7 for the Suns and they were gifted a #1 pick along the way. NY is in year 8 now since they last made the playoffs and were also given at least one top 3 pick (and passed on SGA for Kevin Knox). LA's rebuild took 7 years to make the playoffs (multiple top 3 picks). Philly took 6 years (picks 1, 1 and 3). Cavs picked 8th, 5th and 5th....and seem like they did well with those picks.

I don't say this to rip the other teams, but to rip a team in year 3 of a rebuild with no cap room nor any top 3 picks sees a bit unfair. Now if KPJ turns into a star who can stay on the court or if they get a top pick in next draft and blow it? Rip away.

I don't think it's really about anyone expecting that they should be contending or anything. As Wiggy said, they need a star and it's hard to get a star when you get two #5's and a #8 in the drafts you're counting on to get one.

I think the point is more about guys wanting out and it being public already. I could be wrong, but I don't remember it getting out publicly that any of the Lakers or Sixers players wanted out.

Not like it is now days, no way we would have got to where we are with David Stern at the helm. I do think there will be some changes at some point.

lol

This is wrong. There were more superteams in the 80's than there are now.

of course guys arent happy- especially with the recent losing. The cavs actually started off pretty well. Then a ton of injuries and youth got to them.

And during the Lakers 8 year playoff-less streak there was plenty of rancor- it wsnt too long ago Magic Johnson was resigning and Russell was ratting out teammates and it was a mess.

it can change pretty quick with a star.

the tough part for the Cavs is any stud draft pick will take a couple years to really be a high level guy. Ja Morant has taken the Grizz into a team that can do stuff pretty quick though. We shall see. Cavs need a top 4 or 5 pick in this draft. Top 3 would be ideal.

Played most of the 1st half with a torn quad and been top 5 player in basketball since the AS break.

Just dropped 33,19, & 15 to push his team into 9th place.....almost forgot he had the game winning block

WHY NOT!!!!!

I'll assume you didn't watch the game tonight or been watching Russ willing the Wiz into play in game for the last 2 months
You assume correctly

But I do like Russ, very entertaining. Felt the same way about Iverson.

hes unreal.

any team that possibly thought hte Wiz would trade Beal have to lose any hope at this point with those 2 starting to play so well together. They need more, but you can do a lot worse thn Beal and Russ as your top 2.

Russ is tough- not fragile.

If the wizards keep winning why isnt russ in the mvp convo. Curry is a top 4 choice in the sportsbooks. Teams arent that far off.
Curry scores more, russ is just being epic in all phases.

russ isnt even listed on draftkings, beal is...like gtfo lebron, chris paul, donovan mitchell all higher and others

As I told my buddy about Curry, he'd have a shot if they gave it to players on mediocre teams but they don't so he doesn't

Yet curry is #3 or 4 on most sportsbooks. Randle, butler, beal, zion all better odds. Russ doesnt even have odds.
