I disagree.

I think it's enough to get them to say "And?".

If the answer is "That's it".

Then they laugh and hang up.

What if....and don't get too excited because this isn't a sure thing..wait....for...it

A second round pick!!!

Bam

Bradley Beal welcome to LA!!!!

What if the Wizards threw in Bertens?

I am pretty sure you are joking.

That would take the Lakers way over the cap and unbalance the trade first off.

Secondly that is still a big hell no.

You can’t package players like Schroeder and Kuzma to return a star player unless you are also giving major draft assets that the Lakers don’t have.

Kidding aside. Kuzma and Schroder are young enough and good enough to get a convo started. But the Lakers would have to add in at least 1 more player (KCP, THT, etc.) and they'd have to throw in at least 1 first round pick.

And even with that, I think there are several other teams that could/would beat that offer. Don't know how many more times the Lakers could get away with a guy playing the "I won't re-sign anywhere else" card or if Beal would even be willing to do that. My guess is that he wouldn't.

Plus, Westbrook and Beal seem to be playing well together. Maybe Beal wants to see what they can do going forward? :noidea:

That isn’t even in the ballpark man.

The problem is that if the Wizards did trade Beal (less likely now), they would be rebuilding.

Kuzma and Schroeder are not the types of players rebuilders seek. You want draft assets, young cost controlled players with upside. That is not Kuzma and Schroeder.

Most teams in the league could offer a better package for a rebuilder.

Yeah, I would be surprised if they traded Beal at this point.

They always wait until the star is a negative trade asset before they try to deal him.

Then Kuzma and Schroder would be perfect. lol

Yep. Broken ring finger. And you're right, it's not good. Never like to see any players get injured.
Me neither and he's exciting to watch, but the Pelicans season is over in a few more games anyway
