LeBron might return tonight. A game time decision. If he doesn't play tonight he's gonna return on Sunday. Gotta get him & AD on the floor at the same time before the playoffs. Although I think both should sit out through the first round.

I thought you wanted them to rest throughout the playoffs?

Originally I did. But then I thought that's too greedy. The right first round match up for the Purple 'n Gold without King Hairline & the Unibrow and they could be done.

hurts to a certain extent as a Cavs fan - but I have full faith that this guy will mess it up off the court.

there is a reason why he fell out of the lottery and was the 30th pick with obvious lotto talent.
No doubt IF he can get his head on straight and becomes a solid player for a while (not just a game or handful of games at a time) this is a huge blunder for the Cavs. Still thinking maybe should have just held onto him and kept him away longer. With Cavs getting a lot of shit for letting him go it's a little telling no team with plans to do anything but tank this year wanted him as anyone could have had him.

Me too, they won four in a row now....and are in 4th worst place

Cleveland and OKC are in striking distance
Couple weeks ago seemed like 6th might have been best Cavs could do. They are coming on and top 3 seems reachable now.

right.

literally any team could have had him. The CAvs got a 2nd round pick that will likely never transfer for him.

They def. werent the only ones.

Shouldn't you LOL at the rest of the league who could have had him?
he is just trying to distract from the fact the Raiders once again shit their pants in the NFL draft. lol.

they took a guy at 17 that most thought would be a late 2nd rounder. why not just trade down?

unreal.

even the #1 overall spot in the lotto has a less than 50% chance at a top 3 pick.

the odds are definitely much much more condensed then they used to be.

He was projected to be a late 1st rounder/early 2nd round.

Hence my thread about not rooting for your team to lose.

Kolton Miller was a reach also but he's turned out to be a foundational player on the OL.

Probably.

They made the mistake many rebuilding teams do in assuming their core was good enough to build around when in reality the ceiling isn’t high enough.

Zion and Ingram are both very good players, but I am not sure either is going to be that superstar type that will make NOLA a contender.

They have time obviously, but as you said the time they have goes by pretty quick.
Agree.....and a lot of assets from deals. Most seem like they will be late picks so not sure how useful or desirable. also not sure how well they have done building around Zion. Sure seems like the current version of Randle would have been a good guy to keep. Trading Jrue for regressing, aging, overpaid Bledsoe and Adams (and some of the late picks). Still young, but maybe use the 4 pick instead of trading down and taking another center who cannot shoot and clogs the middle (the only place Zion functions)?

Maybe better off if they did nothing else but brought back Randle and used the 4 pick. Just needed a decent center...preferably one who could shoot a little (a Lopez?).
