T-Wolves getting kinda feisty now that D'Lo and KAT are healthy and playing alongside Edwards. Gonna be funny if they win enough games to fuck up their lottery and the pick conveys to the Warriors.

It's funny...for all the lamenting about D Lo his advanced stats aren't that bad. It's not all star level like he was in Brooklyn but it's above average. I wouldn't necessarily say Wiggins is the hands down better player by any stretch.

Zion had 8 rebounds and 6 assists last night @Wamu in addition to his scoring production.
And 2 Double Woppers w/cheese, 2 large fries, 2 chicken nuggets, and a frosty from Wendy’s to wash it down...

Yep saw the box score. But stats don't lie. He's a PF that only averages 7.1 rebounds in 32.9 minutes. That ranks him 24 in the league. That's not good.

G's that average more rebounds per game.

Ben Simmons- 7.5
Luka- 7.9
Josh Hart- 8.0
Russ- 11.2

Dejounte Murray averages 7.1

SF's that average more rebounds per game.

Tatum- 7.4
MPJ- 7.6

And let me clarify a few things. Zion's gonna be a great player, he's an athletic freak. He's exciting to watch. But I will take any opportunity to be critical of him because he played at dook.

Yeah I know that's petty. But just like that community college in ann arbor I can't really root for any players from Durham. The only current dookie I tolerate is Jason Tatum.

Steve Adams plays C and averages 9rpg.

If not for Adams, Zion would probably average more rpg.

Not sure about that. Last year without Adams Zion averaged 6.3 rebs. This year with him he's averaging almost one reb. more per game.

Zion in the dunk contest in 3 years.

D'Lo is just a weirdly frustrating player. He can be an all star quality level when he wants to be. Sometimes he'll be at that level but get hurt and it throws everything off as he works back into shape or plays thru injuries. Other times he just doesn't give a shit and does some really dumb plays.

I agree he should be rebounding more but isn't Ben much taller than him?

Have to remember he is only 6'7 and that's probably generous. Most sf and pf are taller

Yeah he is. But my point was Ben (and the other I listed) are PG's who average more rebs. than Zion. Westbrook is shorter than Zion but averages 4 more rebs. a game.

Did the Pelicans make a mistake in trading AD for Ingram, Lonzo, Hart and picks? I made the comment before it went down that the Pelicans should just tank, and either keep AD or just get draft compensation in return. Now they are going to be living in the 8-10 range for the foreseeable future, and then if that happens Zion is going to want out in like 2025.

Probably.

They made the mistake many rebuilding teams do in assuming their core was good enough to build around when in reality the ceiling isn’t high enough.

Zion and Ingram are both very good players, but I am not sure either is going to be that superstar type that will make NOLA a contender.

They have time obviously, but as you said the time they have goes by pretty quick.

I think zion has the potential to be a top 10 player in the league. I'm just not sold on Ingram. He's a good player, and maybe he can improve, but I don't think he can be the 2nd best player on a great team(top 6ish or so).

Also, I don't think the FO has done a good job either of what they've done after the AD trade. Trading away Deandre Hunter for NAW and Hayes, looks to be pretty bad at the moment.
