Kyrie is pretty damn predictable.

Dude has mental problems... something in the neighborhood of bi-polar... when he's "up" he's functional... but then he goes into funks of fluctuating length where he withdraws and gets anti-social and paranoid even.

I'm not a psychologist, but that's my guess.

Nah, ego and money are powerful drugs. Especially when you're talking about a player with World B. Flat's talent.

Some low level playoff/near playoff team will convince themselves that their system/culture/coaching will get him to buy in.

Or some team trying to put butts in seats (eventually) and sell merchandise will bring him in just for the increase in sales.
