He’s dumber than a bag of rocks and he wants to be a leader for a greater cause? It’s just embarrassing when words come out of his mouth.

He needs therapy but nothing can save this helpless human being.

He is such a perfect example of this egotistical self-victimization that goes on this country.

He makes a contrarian decision that he knows has specific consequences and then acts like some sort of victim who was unfairly thrust into the spotlight.

Eh.

Then people would just say why he is he doing that and pushing that when he got the vax

The Nets organization would not care. He barely speak to the media anyway. He would have been fine had he done this

I mean about the cause, not the basketball

It could all be so simple

It's so unfair when people lose their jobs for not following the rules. Employees should be able to ignore employer rules and still stay employed.

Nice cause there Kyrie.

There is no rule in the NBA that states that Kyrie has to get vaccinated. De Blasio's asinine vaccine mandate is preventing Irving from playing in Brooklyn.

Albeit rare, there is the chance that Kyrie could have an adverse reaction to the vaccine, which could potentially impact his career in basketball. This happened to Brandon Goodwin who's career was assumingly cut short due to blood clots caused by the vaccine.

he really is the ultimate snowflake. Kyrie is the pinnacle of the clueless. He is a wanna-be philosopher with no education. He is not deep, or insightful- he is just really really dumb. He can dribble and shoot the hell out of a basketball though.

For sure. He's one of those guys who says inane/incoherent things but thinks they are super deep and misconstrues everyone's bewilderment as a sign of his own brilliance.

Maybe the Lakers were so bad when he played on them.....I don't remember him right?

He just didn't leave a lasting impression on me.

I was upset when Baze left LA (I hate when they dump cheap guys, still upset over Thomas Bryant). They picked him up off of the Warriors' bench and he was intriguing, but only played 23 games. Lakers didn't offer a QO in 2014 and he left for just $2M per with Atlanta. He held a grudge apparently and gave the Lakers the cold shoulder when they inquired in 2016 and re-upped with Atlanta for his biggest contract to date 4/$70M, so he could've kept the Lakers from wasting all that money on at least one of Deng and Mozgov, lol.

Melo will most likely start at the 3. James at the 4.

We'll see. I think Melo is coming off the bench at the 4 (or at least should be). I wouldn't want to disrupt the sub patterns at SF for the short term, let most everyone get used to the role they'll have later in the season.

LeBron hated playing against bigs when he was young.

It makes a ton of sense for him to play the 4 more- and if he commits to it- I think its a very smart idea. The Lakers best and most versatile lineups will be with Davis playing the 5 and LeBron the 4. It gives them a huge advantage. Historically both of those guys have heavily resisted playing those positions though- and age and injuries havent helped that part of the equation.

Until it actually happens, I think we could see more Davis starting at the 4 like they did the title year. To go from rarely playing the 5 in the regular season to starting there every night seems unlikely to me.

Probably someone was for giving him his first shot?

I knew Kyrie had a screw loose. Had no idea he's this messed up. Like I said yesterday or the other day he's giving his teammates and the Nets organization a big fuck you with his stubborn vaccine stance. A player that puts himself ahead of his team will be a distraction all season long.

On a related note, I find it funny when people refuse to reveal their vaccination status. By doing so, the cat is already out of the bag...
