They traded him for a guy name Wang.

I'm sure he has plenty left in the tank

Apparently, he can play a little bit. He's considered one of the most promising Chinese players. He was the 2019 Chinese league MVP, is a 4 time all star and was Rookie of the Year in 2013.

He's 27, and is 7'0" 270.

But the question is...will the Lakers ever see him on the court? He was drafted back in 2016

was watching The Jump, I think and they had an interesting question.....something like which team could have the largest range on where they could end up this season. They said GS, no question, and I agree.

Couple other teams here who get some good run might be considered after GS - Cavs and Philly.

Agreed. You have to project Ben Simmons moving. It’s frustrating not knowing what the Sixers will look like next year

Hard to say. Maybe it's a Marc Gasol type deal? The Lakers held his rights and sent them in the trade for Pau. Kind of the Chinese version of the "Euro-stash" the Spurs have been known for.

I'd expect they'll keep an eye on his development and maybe bring him over for the summer league next year or the following to see how he does there before making a decision.

That's assuming he even wants to play in the NBA.

Simmons moving and of course injury factor with Embiid.

Figure Cavs could win anywhere from 25-45. Bottom and top of that would surprise me but still somewhat realistic.....especially if the team that acquires Simmons.

1000%. I can't predict where I think the Warriors will end up.

Depends on:

1) Klay's health
2) Wiggins improved play
3) Wiseman taking a significant step forward
4) No major injuries
5) 2 quality bench players stepping up on a nightly basis(my bet would be on Poole and Porter)

I do think the Warriors are in much better shape as a team right now as compared to last season. If one of the rooks can play some quality minutes here or there that's a bonus.

1 is major ?

2 I wouldnt bet. He is what he is.

3 is possible and would’ve been very likely if he hadn’t gotten hurt. I think he’s fine, but there are warning signs and not getting run in summer ball doesn’t help.

4 ties into 1, and we saw what happened to them after Curry’s injury

5 agreed. Looney can be decent but adding a legit backup c like hartStein would be a nice get as well.

any news on collision? Getting a legit backup pg would be nice too

I think Collison worked out for the team, but to date no offer has been made.

Health I think is always the key for any team. But the team has been banking on Klay coming back and being close to what he was. He's been out of basketball for over 2 years and he won't see court time until December likely.

Last year we saw Wiggins improve his shot selection, improved his percentages and improved his defense. That's really all they can ask of him at this point is to continue that trend.

Lots of question marks....

His salary would have still counted towards the hard cap.

This way the Lakers save almost $10m

yeah I got that.

the wording on the tweet is wrong or at least wonky.

Basically the grizz bought a 2024 second
