Oh, watch how quickly your tune changes if this comes to fruition.

This is in no way a reputable site. But,.......

Please, God....

Let it happen. He clown car would be at maximum capacity with Westbrook and Beverely in the same locker room.

Nope.

AD & RW met with him and they all agreed it will take sacrifice. Think it can work.
** Sorry in advance for the Novel *

Dude, you once said Durant would be a Jordan level player if he had Rondo instead of Westbrook.

....and that was years ago, before he was broken.

I also THINK he can adjust. But, History paints a different picture.

He plays hard and wants to win. But, only by his own hands.

If the 3's aren't falling, this will be a clusterfuck. You do remember that the dumbass rockets chose to trade their CENTER to open up scoring opportunities in the paint for Westbrook, a fricking POINT GUARD.

I understand WHY you made this trade. You had to do something to avoid losing ground to the Nets. But, I think Russ will have a negative affect on Davis.

He's gonna drift even more towards the perimeter to compensate for the Starters lack of shooting.

Nobody can check AD if he's in the paint. So, the Lakers are going to have to pick their poison:

A. Watch Teams pack the paint and force Westbrook to take open jumpers and pray Howard gets tons of offensive boards.

B. Watch Davis slowly, but surely, turn into Porzingis launching from the perimeter, to give Westbrook driving lanes.

Good outside shooting solves this problem. Question is : Do the Lakers have enough of it?

The Lakers made a huge mistake taking Westbrook over Heild.

I think Davis is going to get more easy buckets than he ever has so going more to the perimeter would be a huge mistake.

@Wamu ever been to Aspen or Vail CO?

Nope. Have no desire to visit those tourist destinations. But I have heard there's some great scenery at both places.

Just about every free agent the Lakers signed this summer shot better from 3 than Hield did last year.

We shall see how it plays out. It could fail, but I think it will succeed. I am the eternal optimist.

I wanted Hield, he would have been perfect.

Melo - 35% career, 36% & 41% last 2 years
Ariza - 35% career, 40% & 35% last 2 years
Bazemore - 36% career, 39% & 40% last 2 years
Ellington - 38% career, 35% & 42% last 2 years
Monk - 34% career, 40% last year
Nunn - 36% career, 35% & 38% last 2 years

Lebron and AD can also hit the 3, although if they're having to shoot it too much, that will be a problem.

I'd like to see them pick up JJ Redick or someone, but even if they don't...looks like they should be ok, especially with open looks that Lebron, AD and Westbrook should provide.

So, it looks to me more like opponents will need to pick their poison...guard the perimeter and get destroyed in the paint...or pack the paint and give up 3's.

I mean, he 2 key parts of your post are JUST ABOUT and LAST YEAR.

Buddy is a career 40 % shooter from 3.

Nunn has not shot over 38 % in his 2 seasons.

Melo is a career 35% shooter.

Base more career 35% shooter.

Monk barely shoots 40% OVERALL for his career and is absolutely PUTRID from 3 , 33% career, outside of last year at 40%.

So, Ellington is your sniper if we go by career stats?

Yeah, you should have traded for Buddy.

I would have preferred Hield as well. But I get the point of Westbrook and think he'll work better with the older roster. He's only 32 and hasn't really slowed much. That energy he brings can be huge...especially with an older roster.

Yeah and those guys are gonna get the best looks of their careers with the Big 3.

James needs to step back and be the #3 option at his age.....wait till the 4th quarter. Let AD and RW ball out.

Monk made 40 last season and that was on Charlotte.....he'll benefit from playing on the Lakers and is also able of playing some backup PG.

Melo was pretty good the last 2 years on Portland. Don't think his trey numbers drop on the Lakers.....he may not play a lot with the big 3 but he'll see some time with them......and benefit with wide open looks. IMO.

Sure, if the 3's are falling.

I said that from the beginning.

I can't wait to see what your rotations look like.

Does THT start?

He's not a shooter.

Does Ellington offer enough shooting to justify starting over the youngsters?

I look at your roster and see a ton of question marks.

Beacause, you aren't coming out of the West if LeBron is your best shooter of the guys getting 28-35 minutes a night.
