His run with the Sixers was pretty disappointing. I think his skills have diminished to a noticeable point. Not sure going forward how much he can be counted upon.

Meh, it's insurance in case there is an injury. RW or James will be in the game at all times.

He averaged almost 9ppg and made 39% of his 3's.....he would be fine for some mpg.

Drummond isn’t a bad guy to play 10-15 minutes a game backing up Embiid. I would have preferred a 5 with a different skill set that wouldn’t clog the lane but beggers can’t be choosers when it comes to back up players when they’re capped out.

This is actually one of the few places where the fit makes sense from a team perspective.

I don’t get it for Drummond though.

1 year min deal to be a backup? He isn’t going to boost his market value that way. At least not to where he wants it to be.

I was all for getting him with the Lakers last season. However, even when he played well, he wasn't really a net positive in terms of the overall team. Gets stripped a lot (brings the ball down all the time), clogs the lane, etc.

I saw him dropping off in CLE, 3 years ago then he bounced back in MIL. He just isn't the same guy, not as reliable imo
