He seems to have such high opinion of himself just because he was runner up for 6th Man of the Year two seasons ago.

Lakers offered him a fair deal and he turned it down. I hope he gets a lot less and ends up on a lottery team.
This.

If the Lakers have to make a decision between THT and Caruso.....I say we keep THT and invite a bunch of vets on minimum deals. McClung won't be ready year 1 but he could eventually replace Caruso in the rotation.

Caruso is soooo much better.

You need a steady vet. Not. Kid with a little potential who doesn’t know how to play.

Schroder has a career VORP of 3. He barely registered above league replacement by that measure last year

Hield is a 7...double him in less time

For all the grief Simmons gets he is a 13 in 4 seasons.

Yeah, I love me some Bald Mamba, but if they can get Hield...I'll get over it. lol

Considering how young Hield is, with AD only being 28, there's the start of the rebuild/retool when Lebron is done.

Hield is a solid role player and a good fit.

That would be perfect

Welp $20M/year is the price, not surprised but I liked the thought of $16-17M/year. That's not how it works these days especially since Allen is still very young.

@dtgold88 @WiggyRuss
Right...I mean, if TT got $16 mil per, what, 6-7 years ago it seemed likely they'd go at least $20 mil per for Allen.

Yea

He's gonna be expensive. And it makes dealing Sexton more likely. Feels like now is the time to do it.

Caruso is better because he has been in the League longer and had a chance to develop....I am fine with us losing both now if we can land Hield.....LOL. We need him like we need air to breathe.

Ah you know what, i'm in a good mood. Schroder can stay with the Lakers.

Providing he comes off the bench and takes the vet minimum.

I think he stays put this year but next year or at the deadline is definitely a possibility especially if Mobley, Garland and Okoro are the real deal. You just can't pay that many guys

Not sure why signing a C makes dealing sexton more likely. Isn't like Gilbert wont spend.

Now if they can get someone better than him...........?

20 mill is the magic number for a lot of these guys.

His value is going to be higher now or potentially at the deadline. I think if you wait until next year your return will be a fair bit less.

I mean, Love falls off before Garland gets paid and he's a year after Sexton. Okoro and Mobley are way down the road.

But sure, if an offer they cannot refuse then have at it (now or deadline).
