Apparently the Sixers were his first choice then and the Rockets refused to deal with Morey. Houston could have had Simmons Maxey Thybulle and 3-4 first round picks. Now Houston has Jack squat.
Pretty bad by Houston. PHilly in the EC...LMAO.

Iied to him how? When acquiring harden last year, they were able to see into the future and knew kyrie wouldn't get vaccinated?
If Kyrie is serious about ball and winning a championship he gets a vaxx and he plays ball. And if KD was serious about winning a championship he slaps Kyrie around and talks some sense to him. So yeah. Harden was lied to. He had every right to say fuck your Mickey Mouse bull shit and get me out of here.

Is that what Sixers fans are telling themselves as they cross their fingers hoping he won't quit on them too?

And don't get me started on his unprofessionalism that he got away with in houston and continued in Brooklyn as well. Leaving a game in the middle of it and flying to the Vegas is as unprofessional as you can get. Great teammates though lol
Kyrie just flakes out and leaves the team for some clear the head leave of absence. Shits on Covid protocols keeping him out longer. Then we see his anti-vaxx nonsense this year but Harden is the unprofessional hahaha.

I lived in Dallas when this happened and remember the whole saga. OKC had a tough choice to make at the time. Harden was their sixth man, and they also had to decide on Serge Ibaka, who was a very promising big at the time, and seemed more important to their future. They prioritized Ibaka over Harden, and offered Harden less than the max. He was unhappy. It was ultimately all about the money for both sides. I think obviously OKC made the wrong choice on which player to prioritize in hindsight, but it was a tougher choice at the time than it sounds today.
The money difference was pretty insignificant. The Thunder weren’t giving a guy like that the keys to the kingdom abd with what they already had it had to be that way. I’ll say it again though, the failure of Ibaka to develop as a big was a big part of what happened.

That’s Morey’s story as per the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast.

How exactly did houston quit on him? Now you're talking nonsense. They brought in the point god and he still couldn't make that work because he is a ball hog. Brought in his close friend after that and didn't work either. Houston constantly bended over backwards for him. Saying Houston quit on him is one of the stupidest thing anyone can say
Yeah no way Houston quit on him.

Does he look serious? Dude is a worse GM than LeBron.

He looks very serious. Took the champs to 7 games all alone because Harden was MIA in a big spot in the playoffs as always. If he wore a smaller shoe size, the guy literally would have beat Milwaukee by himself. Saying KD isn't serious is crazy talk

None. Professionalism is a two way street. Harden came there to compete for a title. When your employer doesn’t act like professionals there’s no expectation that an employee acts with professionalism . Hard to criticize Harden’s lack of tact as it worked and he got out of a toxic situation.

Quit on him is strong. Can we go with “failed”. CP3> Westbrook> John Wall. That shit wasn’t working and Harden wasn’t getting any younger. It was time to go.

Holy shit! So KD can languish and miss half of the games played over 3 seasons because of injuries but when Harden blows a hammy he’s “MIA”?
