Did you guys see this? Apparently Kyrie would still not be able to play home games.

Saw that. Literally one of the dumbest things I have seen. Based on what I heard this morning...he could be in the building and watch the game (would have to be masked), but couldn't play in the game. lol

The Lakers knew what they were getting themselves into and I bet 2 years ago you were saying he is worth that contract, they took all the risk like all teams would especially after winning a title. Complaing about Lebron’s contract is really beyond the point. Paying Russ the same and then AD $35M when he can’t stay on the court are bigger issues. They haven’t performed up to expectations which is really what matters. I’m sure a good amount of teams would give that to LBJ at this point. Not one team would pay Russ that $$, and at this point going to be difficult for a ton of team to really want to pay AD.
I was not really crazy about getting Lebron to be honest, but he did bring us a a championship. I thought Davis was a smart trade even though the Lakers gave up to much. I don't know what the Lakers were thinking when they got Westbrook, but when LeBron said that he discussed it both Westbrook and Davis and had an understanding of how to make it work, I thought ..Oh cool... Okay

Clearly a disaster and on Westbrooks end, seeing your team mate having wanted you to be traded for a player that won't play a game this year...I don't see how that is going to help the chemistry

It’s kind of funny how the thread has come full circle. Finkle is Einhorn and Einhorn is Finkle. Lakers fans are now Cavs fans mucking up the thread with incessant talk about an irrelevant team.

:behindsofa:
Lmfao!!!

You and @Shanemansj13 woke up this morning and chose violence.

And? Why is he even being brought up and what does it have to do with anything? Maybe don't go work for the enemy and you don't get treated like the enemy?

Also, part of the reason he left after building the Shaq/Kobe Lakers was not liking how much credit Phil Jackson got for those titles. So, he has his own jealousy issues.

You may also want to keep in mind, we only have one side of the story.

LOL at the enemy stuff. He gave 40 years to your organization and achieved more success in that time than many franchises will...ever. He's not allowed to seek out other opportunities? And when he does, should he still not be treated with respect instead of as an "enemy"?

I just don't see the value in withholding respect from a guy so integral to the organizations history and success. And it is about respect. The tickets are just a symptom of the disease. The disease is treating him like an "enemy".

Unless a player does something unforgivable I don't agree with taking his season tickets away. Low blow for sure.

It's not even about the tickets. The tickets was just an example of his feelings towards the organization and the disrespect they've shown him.

You go to a direct competitor and try to make them better than the team you left...you are the enemy. I don't care how long he was with the Lakers. He retires and wants his tickets back, wants a statue...hell, wants the court named after him...no problem.

Until then, he's working directly against the Lakers which makes him the enemy.

Well I guess that's one way to look at it. Weird how the Bulls haven't removed Jordan's statue from in front of their arena since he not only works for but owns the enemy.

Neither is Lebron and Davis. Davis spent most of the season in a nursing home and Lebron has missed a lot of games two years straight and they take up too much of the money under the cap to sign quality players that aren't old enough to be grandfathers. The format for this season clearly does not work

My guess is the Lakers will look a lot different next season.

Different - I have no doubt - but different doesn't mean better

Now if Jeanie Buss would call Lebron into her office and then tell him privately to keep his mouth shut and let the front office decide what the team needs - then they might get better. There is a reason Kobe Bryant never tried to get into the business of the front office - He let the experts do what they needed too.

Especially when the guy is trashing the Lakers - I have no problem with the Lakers cancelling the tickets on West - the guy was not being friendly or nice - There is a nice way to be a competitor and West didn't do that

At this point in his career I don't think LeBron's capable of keeping his mouth shut.

I wonder how many Bulls season tickets he has?

The Lakers didn't take down Jerry West's staue either.

The story got out because he blasted the Lakers for it in an interview.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was just the last nail in the coffin.

Jerry had his issues with Phil Jackson.

Some of it could be chalked up to ego or envy.

But, some of it is based on a lack of respect on the Lakers and Jackson's part as well.

If Dr. Buss said he had tickets for life, it should have been honored.

PERIOD.

The fact that they took the gutless, petty way out by sending his wife a text message instead of being men and women and having a conversation just exasperated the situation.

The Lakers are petty as hell.

So, if the late Steve Jobs was discarded by apple, he should be literally and figuratively dead to them if he took a job at Samsung?

:pound:

Doesn't matter that he grew the company to heights unimaginable.

History means nothing, it's what have you done for me lately?

This is some Ray Allen shit.

Celtics benched him, tried to trade him several times.

But, he's a traitor for going to the Heat.
