The story got out because he blasted the Lakers for it in an interview.

Yeah and the season ticket issue was an example of his treatment by the Lakers. He never complained about not having the season tickets anymore. It was the way in which they handled this. Everything in his blasting of the organization has been the fall out from his treatment by the organization.

Unless a player does something unforgivable I don't agree with taking his season tickets away. Low blow for sure.

He built the team...
Still has nothing to do with the fact with the player on the court. But if you want to keep bringing this up....Pelinka should be fired for not doing his job. Sure Lebron played a part but not putting blame on Pelinka, like I have said many times, is just a cop out.

Decides Terrence Howard GIF

Pelinka was in the pool ever since Lebron got there

As a player on the court, he can still play, but he is not worth 47 million. When you have 3 players getting 121 million and playing like that is rediculous. You cant win when those three are the only ones being decently played. LeBron clearly intends to leave the Lakers after his contract is up, so it makes no sense for the Lakers to dig a deeper hole for an aging Lebron who is beginning to fall apart.

The only place where Westbrook would be interesting to me would be off the Lakers roster. If they can't find a trade partner next year, cut him.
That would depend on if the Lakers decide to rebuild without any other super stars. Truthfully, however there can be one starting point guard. The only way that could have worked would have to played Lebron less minutes and brought West brook off the bench with the other cancer named Carmello Anthony

The Lakers knew what they were getting themselves into and I bet 2 years ago you were saying he is worth that contract, they took all the risk like all teams would especially after winning a title. Complaing about Lebron’s contract is really beyond the point. Paying Russ the same and then AD $35M when he can’t stay on the court are bigger issues. They haven’t performed up to expectations which is really what matters. I’m sure a good amount of teams would give that to LBJ at this point. Not one team would pay Russ that $$, and at this point going to be difficult for a ton of team to really want to pay AD.

I see you still haven't come up with a GM who wouldn't have done that trade in that situation.

Must be because it wrecks your narrative.

It’s kind of funny how the thread has come full circle. Finkle is Einhorn and Einhorn is Finkle. Lakers fans are now Cavs fans mucking up the thread with incessant talk about an irrelevant team.

Came to the thread to see if there was any interesting buy out stuff. But I’ve learned so much more. Apparently, acquiring Russell Westbrook was some sort of mistake that should not have been done.

And? Why is he even being brought up and what does it have to do with anything? Maybe don't go work for the enemy and you don't get treated like the enemy?

Also, part of the reason he left after building the Shaq/Kobe Lakers was not liking how much credit Phil Jackson got for those titles. So, he has his own jealousy issues.

You may also want to keep in mind, we only have one side of the story.

I can tell you this, a lot of GM's have bigger balls than Pelinka but that isn't saying much LOL

Lakers fans are very whiney these days and it's funny. A team with Lebron, AD and Russ is 7 games under .500...that is very sad.

Pretty funny huh. Maybe Laker fans need to make a superthread to talk about their crappy FO and shitty team. At least the Cavs were building something the last couple years. The Lakers can't win with 2 stars and an overpaid has been. I would say this is rock bottom but we saw them bad for 7 years until Lebron fell into their lap.

So you still can't name a GM that wouldn't have made the same trade in that situation.

Just as I thought.

You have posted more about the Lakers than Lakers fans have. Maybe I should create a superthread and lock you in it.

Hate videos like this because you never see what came before they start but, jesus, it's always the same fucking guys in the NBA focusing on shit in the stands.
Agree.

But, I think emotions are heightened because the team stinks and Lebron/Westbrook have rarely been on the receiving end of the boo birds on their home court.
