I haven't been watching the games and don't intend to watch any more - the team is a mess. Now on Twitter - Lebron tweeted that Bill Oram lied about what He(LeBron) said, but asked the Lakers to lay off of him(Oram) - Well you can't have it both ways - one of them is lying and I favor calling liars out.

For anyone that doesn't like LeBron blaming him for everything is easy. But this is the Lakers, a legendary franchise. I simply can't believe that the organization would allow him to fully call shots like that.

Of course I could be totally wrong. Then again I don't know what Lakers brass is thinking as far roster moves and what was possibly promised. I think both Lakers brass & LeBron deserve equal blame for what is a disappointing season.

If someone would have said at the beginning of the season that after 50+ games the Celtics would have a better record than the Lakers I would have told that person to get their head checked.

I think it's safe to say your Lakers will look a lot different next season.

Lakers had their opportunity to bring West back in the fold and didn't. They also lost his son in the process.

That was the one thing they did that I didn't agree with.
Could care less about the tickets scenario, that's a media story without any impact well after their lost opportunity with him. That's about as important as Dickerson's beef with the Rams over tickets. Was a huge Dickerson fan, but he forced his way off the team and the Rams are just supposed to forget all that I guess.

Agree. But the timing when West came out with irt was bullshit on his part.

about the same time Cleveland'll sniff a title in ANY sport. I'll accept that...

And it gets worse - because now Lebron is rumored to be gunning for Pelinka to be fired and replaced with someone who will kiss his ass.

Uh, that's not true. At least not since the Lakers told Lebron no on the Wall trade and that this is his mess.

Hey you know me. When it comes to bad ideas for the Lakers I gotta bunch of them. Just let me know when you'd like to hear some more. Here's an example. How about putting up a gigantic painting of Nick Van Exel with the caption 1-2-3 cancun!! for everyone to see as they enter the arena?

And for anyone that doesn't know the Nick Van Exel 1-2-3 cancun story I suggest looking it up.

lol

They aren't just in the Western Conference, they're in same division. The Grizzlies were at least in a different division.

He turned both of those franchises into contenders.

Sorry, but don't go work for the direct competition and then expect to keep your tickets.

Ideally, the Lakers just leave it alone. But since they didn't, they should have called him personally and basically said, "We'll hold them until you are no longer working for a rival.

If I worked for a company and left to go work for a direct competitor, I sure as hell wouldn't expect to keep my perks and benefits from my previous company.

Jerry West gave ya'll 9 championship as a player and GM/Front Office (and another 2 indirectly from drafting Kobe for a total of 11) and was with the Lakers for 40 years in some capacity. And you're going to tarnish his entire legacy with the team over 15-20k a year in season tickets? Seems pretty damn petty to me.

I got a better idea - Keep Westbrook and trade Lebron - Westbrook would make the Lakers interesting in their new rebuilding mode which is where they are headed

LeBron has led three teams to titles. What has Westbrook done again? One player's had proven playoff success. The other is now playing for his 4th team in 4 years. That's not good.

LeBron is too old.

Like I said at the time. I wouldn't have done it. If I did, I would have explained my position and told him his tickets would be available when he retires.

But it's also pretty silly of West to think he should continue to get freebies when he's working for other teams and helping them to be in a position to beat the Lakers.

If he wants to attend basketball games for free...go to the games of the team he's working for. Hell, he's getting paid to go to those games.

Maybe I have overlooked something, but I have yet to see Jerry West complain about the fact that his tickets were taken away.

Everything in his complaint was about his treatment by the Lakers in them cutting him off from season tickets. Which, IMO, is more than fair given how much he's done for the organization. They didn't even contact Jerry West...they contacted his wife and told her, by text, that there's no more season tickets.

It's how the organization treated him rather than the act itself. Again I haven't seen Jerry West complain at all about the fact that he no longer has the tickets. His complaint was how the message was relayed and his treatment by the Lakers.

No doubt. He's an old man in NBA years. But Westbrook isn't leading any team to a title.
Neither is Lebron and Davis. Davis spent most of the season in a nursing home and Lebron has missed a lot of games two years straight and they take up too much of the money under the cap to sign quality players that aren't old enough to be grandfathers. The format for this season clearly does not work

surprisingly, it does...:D

honestly though, Cleveland winning anything in any sport wouldn't have bothered me at all until certain individuals around here talking like tey were all that and a turkey leg came along...

Hell, i rooted for the Browns to win against Johnny Horseteeth and the Donks. Seemed like Schottenheimer could never get one on him when it mattered, though...
Fair enough lol
