Yep becoming evident just like last year in Houston that he intentionally played bad in Brooklyn

To a degree, and especially after KD went down. To some level, the fit was poor too (at least when they had another point on the court). Harden just doesn't work well without the ball in his hands. It's like a still relevant version of some of the issues with Westbrook in LA lol.

looking at our current situation i SHOULDN'T have a "beef"? ok, let's throw out the fact that i've NEVER liked the self-centered clown and look at it from the perspective of selling our souls for #17. eventually i feel we'll get outta that mess...eventually...

Everyone has a beef with the Westbrook move, even Russ I'm sure at this point. Beyond that, he's been a huge plus for the team and the brand. Having a strong GM and front office would likely have capitalized on this even more though (and kept the Westbrook mistake from happening). Lakers management has SO many issues that they can't handle everything that comes with Lebron. They really need to get some real basketball minds in place. Rob is OK, but would be so much better with an experienced Pres of Basketball operations behind him. They continue to suffer from their mistakes with the West family.

Doesn't mean much. Take a look at Brissett's numbers lately. Bad team leads to inflated stats. 38% from 3 is the same as Bradley and Ellington have been all year (not just since a trade) and below Monk and Anthony.

Most of us would've preferred the Hield trade to the Westbrook trade, but the real miss was DeRozan.
We didn't have the $ for DeRozan. He signed for way more than we could offer.

The opportunity for a trade was out there before the Westbrook trade. Tough to predict DeRozan's resurgence this year though...

Telling Lebron "We're not giving up any more of the future, you made the mess, you get to deal with it" was a total Dr. Buss move.

Draymond's spirit is definitely missed right now with this Warriors squad. Two L's recently on huge blown leads is not something the Warriors are accustom to. Right now I think the most important thing for us is to get healthy. Seeding is important, but if the Warriors can hang on to the 2 seed and get everyone right come playoff time, we'll be a real threat. Until then, it's kind of hit or miss.

No he hasn't. The Lakers tv numbers are now middle of the pack and Westbrook isn't even productive at this point.

Having a strong GM and front office would likely have capitalized on this even more though (and kept the Westbrook mistake from happening).

Exactly what GM is telling his 2 stars no when they say, "We want this guy. We willmake it work"?

Lakers management has SO many issues that they can't handle everything that comes with Lebron. They really need to get some real basketball minds in place. Rob is OK, but would be so much better with an experienced Pres of Basketball operations behind him.

The Lakers FO has always been a collaborative, including when Dr. Buss was alive. You are basing most of your criticism on the Lakers FO doing what every FO in the league would have done in the same situation.

They continue to suffer from their mistakes with the West family.

Yes and no. Jerry West left of his own accord and went to work for direct competitors. He didn't even go to the Eastern Conference. He went to GSW and the Clippers. Basically, he became the enemy.

As for his "lifetime tickets"...while the Lakers apparently were pretty hamhanded in the way they went about canceling them...why would they provide free tickets for an executive from an enemy team?

Harden, Curry and James have more missed NBA 3 pointers then Kobe in less time. Do we only care about missed shots when it comes to Kobe or do we keep that same energy. Let the it's a different era excuses begin......

Of the four players you mentioned Kobe has the lowest 3-point FG%.

Steph- .428 (8.8 attempts per game)

Harden- .362 (7.6)

LeBron- .345 (4.5)

Kobe- .329 (4.1)

But when did this "work for the enemy" come into play? Jerry West first left the Lakers to become the President of the Grizzlies. Jerry Buss was a huge influence in the decision and supported it. So he's allowed to go to work for other franchises just so long as they don't reside in the same state as the Lakers?

This was from when Jerry West left for the Grizzlies:

He departs on friendly terms with team owner Jerry Buss, the two having met as recently as two weeks ago as West considered a return to the game full time after his resignation from the team in August 2000.

“Jerry West is part of our legacy,” Jeanie Buss, a club vice president and the owner’s daughter, said Monday. “We consider him royalty.”

Let's be honest, the Warriors and Clippers have never been on the Lakers radar until this past decade. Both teams were continuously punching bags for the Lakers. Until then I highly doubt you'd ever consider on of those teams as "the enemy".

And it gets worse - because now Lebron is rumored to be gunning for Pelinka to be fired and replaced with someone who will kiss his ass.

I seriously doubt that the Lakers had a problem with West working for the competition, but what I had a problem with was the comments he made on a routine basis slamming the Lakers and I am pretty sure that's what the Lakers had a problem with. It was pretty obvious that it was time for the Lakers to cut ties with him under the circumstances. I have done the same with family members for the same and West is not family

Lakers had their opportunity to bring West back in the fold and didn't. They also lost his son in the process.

Could care less about the tickets scenario, that's a media story without any impact well after their lost opportunity with him. That's about as important as Dickerson's beef with the Rams over tickets. Was a huge Dickerson fan, but he forced his way off the team and the Rams are just supposed to forget all that I guess.

as far as my Cavs go- and I am not giving up yet- and its been a very succesful season for them--- but I think youth and injuries are catching up.

I hate using the injury excuse but when basically all your guards are hurt- (first Sexton, then Rubio, now LeVert, Garland's injury, Rondo missing 2 weeks now)- you are in some trouble. They have no guards.

Maybe they should have brought in someone else during the deadline considering Rondo's age, and Garland's lingering back injury. I think they will regret that.

Its a shame a decent young team is getting sabotaged by having to start a street free agent like Goodwin and basically having no point guard play at all.
Not really sure who we could have brought in after we dealt for Levert. Maybe could have called Gragic but doubt he'd have chosen us.

Why would it have to be only for Kyrie? The governor has already opened things up, not sure why NYC is lagging behind...
