saw a tweet earlier- that i cant find now- that Tyler Herro has played the most minutes on the Heat--- and that having him as a 6th man candidate is not really logical when you have the most minutes on your entire team.
He doesn't start. But, he finishes.

Plus, he's playing more because of injuries and games missed for personal reasons.

People had a similar argument about Lou Williams.

He played 27, 28 and even 33 min a game with the Clippers.

The year he played 27 mpg, he only started once and won 6th man.

Chalk up another loss
I’m looking at it as potential tea leaves to whether he gets dealt this week or not. Big week for us Sixers fans. As currently constructed, they’re a pretender that will give us a compelling regular season. If they can add to this group via Ben trade or maybe another package it becomes a different ballgame. I’m torn and I don’t know what to root for. Think the better take projects to be the summer but tomorrow is never promised and Embiid is an MVP candidate now. Harris is still productive. Seth Curry is having a great season and their role players are pretty strong for role players. So there’s a good argument to making it happen this week. We will see.

Yeah there’s no minutes restrictions on 6th man. The standard is do you come off the bench or do you start. Wiggy is a Homer and this is about him finagling an argument for Love for 6th man of the year.

Yeah Sierra Canyson is good and bad for these kids. Get you the exposure you're looking for but with all that talent, it is hard for you to get playing time especially when you play a similar position as Amari Bailey

It is different for every kid, obviously, but I think the good outweighs the bad as long as the player is good enough to be in the top 7-8 in the rotation.

Even with a ridiculous game schedule that a school like Sierra Canyon plays, they still spend more time in practices/open gyms with their teammates and coaches.

Going up against high D1 players every day in practice with experienced coaches who know how to prepare kids to play at the next level is invaluable, as long as the kid is good enough to be a regular rotation guy.

Yep they take risk waiting bc like you said another lost season Embiid’s peak. That being said, they could likely have more options in the summer

It’s a tough call for me where I sit and I’m not in a “my job and legacy hangs in the balance” situation like Morey. I’m glad I don’t have to make the decision. But I am willing to say if Halliburton and Barnes are on the table, I would do that this week because you get the best of both worlds short term and long term.

yeah the hornets didn't give up on him either. They were loaded as you said and he didn't show enough in his first 3 yrs to get the extension. He still played good minutes for them last season but bringing him back didn't make sense
Forgot about this guy too.

@704Tarheels ?

Y'all got smoke in the locker room?

Melo has been benched for long stretches the last few games and now this?

Coach better tighten up.

He just isn’t a good coach imo. This team is just running up the court, bad shot selection, no accountablity, very little defense, etc. This little thing might be an overreaction but the situation as a whole isn’t

The big value I see in Halliburton is that the team needs a natural PG right now. And I like the odds associated with you taking both Halliburton and Maxey you now have two swings at one of them becoming an elite All Star caliber player. In the end, that may make more sense than taking the elite name guy that will cost assets and come in on the back end of their career (Harden Dame).

He out here slandering Dude's to eliminate the competition?

@WiggyRuss say it ain't so?!?!?

Love should be in the running along with Monk, Herro, Trezl, Oubre, Clarkson and Brunson.

Yeah that group should have a better record than what they currently have. That team has some sneaky talent.

I think it’s Herro’s to lose. JA Morant is MIP for me. Mobley ROTY.

If true, I guess the Kings just didn’t want to give up Haliburton and the 76ers didn’t want Fox. Obviously something would need to be attached to Haliburton so that is a young player, veteran role player and 2 1st’s. A lot for SAC, I don’t blame them

“For Simmons, the 76ers have asked the Kings for guard Tyrese Haliburton and multiple first-round picks.”

The defense is lacking.

They need to at least go get a nurkic type
Yeah, Plumlee doesn’t offer much. I see Ball’s defense in spurts. Just not a big fan of crazy pace, it’s ok to have pace but it’s to the point where shot selection and decision making is bad

I'd take Collins and Bogdon.

Leave Maxey at the point.

Harden changes his mind more than a virgin teenage boy in a whorehouse.

Today he says he wants to stay in Brooklyn.

Beal and Lillard don't act like guys that want to be elsewhere.

But, they are both worth waiting around for just to be sure.

So, yeah..... might as well give it a few more monhs.

Beal would be a perfect fit, if the Wiz don’t do something he could very well force his way out.
That is definitely better than Collins and Boggy but it’s no guarantee so a lot of risk.
I agree Harden probably isn’t the way to go anyway plus need to resign him, you never know with that flake

I still think Halliburton is a possibility. In fact, I felt like that leak about Kings being out made me think a deal was more possible. If Halliburton isn’t a piece, I’m personally out. Bagley is a bad add. Barnes is a nice piece but not enough. Hield? Sixers already have a better Hield in Seth Curry who is already woven into the team and knows how others play and how he fits. Playing devils advocate…if you’re in on Ben Simmons, a Tyrese Halliburton becomes a bit of a redundancy. I don’t know that Simmons is a wing or a 4 because he doesn’t shoot. Seems silly to hold it up on that if you’re gonna be in on Simmons.
