Bad fucking loss to ASU for UCLA
Monk has to be the best signing of the year by a Country mile.
The Lakers are going to need to pull a Portland Norm Powell salary dump or he is gonna get paid elsewhere.
LAKER fans are just BRUTAL.
I actually felt sorry for Russ.
Not because of the benching.
They should have done that weeks ago.
But, the booing made me sad.
Bron on roids.
Only explanation for this shit.
PED's.
Yeah, he had 1 moment where he walked after the 1st benching but since he has adapted and hasn't been a "problem."Folks are frustrated. I feel a little bad for him because I think a lot of his struggles are coming from the fact that he is actually trying to fit in and do what is being asked of him. Lebron and AD being out so much hasn't helped either. Also, to be fair, his effort has never wavered and from what I've seen and read, he's handled all of the criticism pretty well.
Having said that, as @wildturkey said, dude has to be smarter. He can still make some amazing plays, but then he'll turnaround make a dumbass turnover or 3 that a high school jv player wouldn't make. Defensively, with his speed, quickness and athleticism...he should be a lockdown defender, but he gets burned a lot because he's always trying to "make a play" instead of just staying in front of his man.
It's gotta be frustrating for the coaches too because, if they are going to make any kind of a playoff run, they are going to need him. But, because of the number of games Lebron and AD have missed, they can't afford to lose any more games trying to fit him in.
He also misses a lot of lay-up type shots because of his propensity to attack out of control.
There is a stat in the NBA that a missed lay-up on 1 end results in a lay-up, dunk or uncontested 3 on the other end a very high percentage of the time because it is hard to convert defensively in those situations.
It isn’t just the 3s. He needs to be more selective in when he chooses to attack.

Monk has shown he deserves to be in there when it matters since he can hit the 3.
Is Bronny James a sure fire bet to even make the League?
I know James wants to play wherever he ends up, but is it a slam dunk he makes the NBA?
Well LeBron is still going to get someone fired over the playin games he signed off on as VP of the players union. They are only 3 games out of the 6 seed and 4.5 out of the 5 seed.
If they can get some consistency and string together a winning streak they can get out of the play-in game.
On talent alone? No.
He is going to get a shot because of who his dad is.
What he makes of that shot is up to him.
He isn’t a lock to last in the league, but I bet he is going to at the very least get a 2 way deal.
Yeah, ESPN and 247 Sports have him ranked as a 4 star prospect. He's ranked #43 on ESPN's top 60 for 2023 with a grade of 85. So, right now, he's probably looking at being a mid-late 2nd round pick. Looks like there is some interest from some pretty major programs like Duke, Kansas and UCLA, but it doesn't look like strong interest right now.
I read the scouting report on 247, but it's almost 2 years old. Basically, as far as his skillset, he sounds a lot like his Dad as far as vision, passing, athleticism, etc...but both sites have him listed at only 6'3", so that may work against him unless there's growth spurt coming.
Yeah he still has a couple years for a growth spurt and I believe he is only a junior so nothing is set in stone. Playing at a big university could either hurt him or help him. If he gets the playing time it will show how good he really is or he could sit the bench for a couple years and form his game before starting. He probably ends up 6’6” or 6’7”Yeah, ESPN and 247 Sports have him ranked as a 4 star prospect. He's ranked #43 on ESPN's top 60 for 2023 with a grade of 85. I haven’t watched him play really, so I don’t know.
But I have to imagine his ranking might be at least a bit inflated by his family name.
I have no doubt he is good enough to play and succeed at the highest level of college basketball. I think his name, and the possibility of luring his dad will get him an NBA contract and some NIL $ where other similarly ranked prospects are often G league bound.
