Yeah, that is a lot. I doubt anyone is offering 2 1st’s. The Cavs have a lot of valuable 2nd’s and that’s where these can come to use
Not being snarky...are 2nds really that valuable?

By the way the Sun Devils beat Bob Marley and the Wailers in triple OT. Only the second time an unranked team beat a top 5 team in 3OT or more...(Canisius over NC State in 1956)

They have Houston’s and San Antonio. Not crazy valuable but those picks are like late round 1st’s essentially. They can add up and help push a deal over the top. I mean Cle had Mil’s 1st which was basically an early 2nd round pick and they acquired Allen.

I mean, good coach or no, how do you expect a rookie coach who hasn't ever coached on any level run that madhouse in Brooklyn? Also he's not good. Add him to the list of superstars who can't coach. I guess too soon to judge but p-u

I think the value in 2nds is relatively low- but it depends.

obviously high seconds are worth something- sometimes they are valued more than low firsts because of their unguaranteed nature.

They come into value mostly as just trade currency if you ask me. A team that is going to let a guy walk anyway- or wants to make a change- can use them.

and I mean- they do come through once in a while.

for instance- why not get a couple 2nds for an expiring contract, or as a sweetner for taking some extra money, or for a guy that you dont think is part of how you want your team to be going forward.

Im trying to think- i think mid 2nds still sell for a few million bucks- maybe like 3-4 from teams if they dont want to make the pick.

and of course- if you are a team that is capped out, and has no way to sign guys- they do become fairly important source of cheap bench talent- if you can develop them and hit.

I mean- sometimes they hit. Just about every team in the league has at least 1 or 2 guys who were 2nd round picks that are solid rotation guys. They can be aggregated to move up too- esp. late into the first round if someone drops....what the Cavs did for Porter Jr. (even though he lost his mind- or never had it).

GSW of course has one of the best ever in Green.

Cavs have Osman who was a 2nd rounder.

so- they dont have huge value- but they are kinda the grease that skids the rails of trades in a lot of ways.

I dont think 1 1/2 years of LeVert is worth 2 first rounders- especially one 3 years in the future---- but this years first and a high 2nd seems reasonable to me. We shall see.

Houston is ridiculous.

shouldve taken LeVert and Allen even if they would have just hung onto them- let them play get their value up- and dealt them again. What a mistake to send those 2 to other teams and then take Oladipo.

It really is a shame the Cavs- who dealt- I think 3 2nds to move up and take Porter Jr.- that he didnt work out. He would be such a great guy to have if he had the right attitude.

but its more apparent then ever it was a good move to get rid of him. The chemistry on the team is one of the reasons why they have overachieved- and a guy like that absolutely would have disrupted it.

but man- having him off the bench or at the 2 and being able to create would be such a perfect guy to have for this team going forward. What a disappointment.

saw a tweet earlier- that i cant find now- that Tyler Herro has played the most minutes on the Heat--- and that having him as a 6th man candidate is not really logical when you have the most minutes on your entire team.

Dude about to go full Simmons/Fultz/Nick Anderson and just curl into the fetal position instead of shooting.

Those motherfuckers in Staples Center were audibly yelling nooooooooooooooo every time he shot the ball.

My GAWD....Lol

How does he go on?

The irony is he isn't THAT bad from the field. He still draws defenses and is just about as good from 3 as Johnson and Reaves. And obviously a country mile better than THT

Much needed home win. Even if it took a dominant OT performance.

James with a monster game of 29 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assusts.

Monk scored 29 points on 11 of 20 and 4 of 8 shooting,

AD scored 28 points, snagged 17 boards, had 4 blocks and 3 steals. AD has been playing like a man possessed the last 5 games.

Monk has to be the best signing of the year by a Country mile.

The Lakers are going to need to pull a Portland Norm Powell salary dump or he is gonna get paid elsewhere.

LAKER fans are just BRUTAL.

I actually felt sorry for Russ.

Not because of the benching.

They should have done that weeks ago.

But, the booing made me sad.

Bron on roids.

Only explanation for this shit.

PED's.
The most surprising signing of all of them.

He had played pretty well for Charlotte last season and was so young for the Hornets to basically have given up on him, Every team needs shooters. He has been a blessing this season.

if the Lakers are going to make some noise- they need him too. That is the thing.

RW? Making about 44 percent from the field.....his career average. But, he sucks at 3's.

RW makes 48% of his 2's. 59 on 0-3 feet, 36% on 3-10, 31% on 10-16, 41% on 18-3 pointers and 30% on 3's. 22% of his attempts are 3's. The 2nd most behind 0-3 foot attempts.

Just limit his 3's.

Your Cavs have to be blowing your mind.....playing out of their minds.

Saw them the other night for only the 3rd time this season.....very well coached.

Yep

Like I said a few weeks ago...dude needs to attack the basket. Maybe limit his minutes some and have him on the court whenever lebron isn't for sure. Obviously they would still intersect quite a bit though

Apropos of nothing, UCLA and Arizona State going to triple OT. First college game I've watched this year, UCLA point guard looks exactly like Bob Marley. Like not just exact same hair and beard, which you can control. Like the same exact face.

Bob likely has at least a couple of kids he didn't know about.

He also misses a lot of lay-up type shots because of his propensity to attack out of control.

There is a stat in the NBA that a missed lay-up on 1 end results in a lay-up, dunk or uncontested 3 on the other end a very high percentage of the time because it is hard to convert defensively in those situations.

It isn’t just the 3s. He needs to be more selective in when he chooses to attack.

Is Bronny James a sure fire bet to even make the League?

I know James wants to play wherever he ends up, but is it a slam dunk he makes the NBA?
