Brogdon played 8 minutes.

and Indiana is playing with as much heart as Rick Vaughn in Major League 2. lol.

Look at the game in Indy. I mentioned both games. Pacers were not playing with replacement players when Miami won that game.

If the Heat and Pacers had those rosters at the start of the season, which team over/under would be higher?

Im also pretty sure the Heat were big underdogs for that game in Indy. You don't need to take credit away from Miami all the time.

Miami has played very well.

the top 5 teams in the East are all 3 games from first. AFter that there is a group of teams 6 or more games out.

and all the teams have had major injuries/covid. Brooklyn is still #1. Chicago is #2 and has probably missed the most from Covid thus far. Milwaukee has missed all of Holiday, Giannis, and Middleton at some point. Miami of course has had their own issues. Cavs have had plenty of injuries and Covid.

all 5 teams have weathered a lot of issues and all are within 3 games of 1st.

out of those 5 teams Chicago is a surprise but has staying power, and Cleveland is a surprise, and prob. will have some issues at some point being as young as they are.

honestly...if you are looking at injuries and Covid- out of those 5 teams the Cavs might have had it the worst.

Sexton is out for the season. No one else has missed one of their top players for nearly as long (beside Kyrie which was voluntary). He played 11 games before he went down.

Markkenen and Love each missed almost 3 weeks a piece in Covid protocol. Each have missed 10 games this season.

Mobley has missed 8 games with Covid and injury and will prob. still be out for 3 more.

Allen is on the Covid list, has missed 5 games, and will prob. miss at least 3 more games.

Okoro had injuries- and then went on the Covid list and has missed 10 games and will prob. miss at least one more game.

thank goodness Garland has only missed 3 games.

it simply makes no sense that the Cavs- with a brutal schedule, and brutal injuries/covid issues, a team Vegas predicted for 27 wins and a high lotto pick, are where they are at. Its mind boggling. Its honestly hard for me to believe. I still dont fully trust it.

And as I’ve said at the start of holiday break, too many guaranteed contracts is proving to be the Pacers’ curse and that it’s a almost better to begin the season with no-names on the bench a la Miami.

I’ll tell you what - I’ll put Keef in my avi if Miami makes the finals.

Hell, I might be inclined to do so anyway for comedy purposes…

Steve Nash in 2004 and Grant Hill in 2000. Gee, that was hard...

Literally the only reason that list is so short is because those level of players rarely changed teams prior to LeBron’s 2010 shenanigans.

Orlando and Phoenix are not tier 3 NBA cities. They are tier 2 because of weather.

Good try though.

Also, Nash was really good in Dallas. Made the all star team twice. But he was no superstar yet. He hit that level in Phoenix.

Put Draymond in a Pacers uniform and he gets five games for grabbing LeBron's nuts - That's as close to a factual opinion if there ever was such a thing.

If you want to promote that as acceptable behavior, what kind of message are you sending to the kids at home??? (i.e. many of the individuals I feature in my blog)

To answer your other question - No, I don't have any affiliations with Wiggy. That said, my two favorite teams aren't as glitzy and glamorous as the Heat, Lakers, and Warriors.

Even when your team sucked, you managed to take two of our troublemaking malcontents - Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington - and got a first-round upset out of them. Got considerable media coverage for it.

Then there was Run TMC, who still recieve coverage in NBA classics now and then for their ONE series win. And the general consensus among NBA fans today is that in spite of being in the HOF, that Mitch Richmond should have asked out of Sacramento earlier that he actually did.

My teams' greatest claim to fame was and still is, the brawl. We DEMOLISHED the defending champs of their court, and they were simply a poor sport about it. But, our cash-hungry commissioner singularly determined us to be the bad guys in that situation, and in spite of the other side's well-documented "Bad Boy" culture.

But as it was, the league was suffering from Jordan withdrawal at the time, and Detroit, if nothing else, had one small cash cow in the form of Ben Wallace's hair. We did not have any such benefit.

So if not rooting for the Heat, Lakers, or Warriors somehow makes me less of a fan in one's mind - Wiggy worded it as good as anyone could - Those people could go fuck themselves.

And it really wouldn't be any different if I hypothetically was a Cavs fan...

Dude. It was 20 years ago.

Get over it.

I love that he assumes they would have won a title because of a hot start in the regular season.

Orlando also has no state income tax which is big. Orlando generally is not a great place to be though. California's state income tax top bracket is now OVER 13% and you can no longer write it off against federal taxes- which is rough when you compare Miami and Dallas which are at 0%. You lose well over 10% of your pay right off the bat in California.

lol dude- at least offer something realistic. Miami is not making the Finals.

well- I guess with Covid, and crazy Kyrie you never know--- but the Bucks and Nets are clearly the most talented teams if you ask me. If they get the #1 and #2 seeds i cant see any team getting through both of them in the East.

Give him the ECF- ill even join ya with 'Kief! I might need to find a replacement for 'ole Baker soon anyway. lol. Though for shit sake. 2 of those picks were CLEARLY defensive holding. NEvermind- cant even talk about it without getting pissed.

@Shanemansj13 @dtgold88 Okoro is out of protocol.

if the Cavs can beat the Pelicans on Tuesday night- they just might get out of this covid barrage fairly unscathed record wise.

but- again- Wiz and Hawks on Thurs/Fri. Ill be so pissed if they are shorthanded going into those games and lose since they are important games.

thing is- even if Mobley and Allen clear protocol- i dont see the CAvs rushing either back. I doubt either play Thurs/Fri. even if they clear. Just not how Cavs are doing it. ESPECIALLY Mobley- they arent rushing him back.

Pelicans had a couple guys out last time I heard and Ingram got hurt last night, not sure how serious it is. They SHOULD definitely win that game. I’m thinking Mobley and/or could be back for the ATL game, not so sure about the game Thursday vs WAS but I agree rushing them back isn’t the right move
