they did have the #1 overall pick they dealt for KEvin Love....and a ton of extra first rounders they had acquired and stockpiled......and an owner willing to spend more money on the tax then anyone had ever done up to the point.

pretty good setup.

his worst setup was probably LA even though, its LA and they had the ammo/leverage to get Davis.

Yes Giddey really looks good and he fits in well with the organization. The old school in me would have loved to see them have a big guy to build around though.
