Vogel was smiling last night after the game.

I think he knows it's coming and he's relieved.
He'll land somewhere and be just fine. I think execs around the league realize that he is the scape goat and he's not responsible for the shitty roster construction.

I mean its cute they will try
What is Nurse's contract status? The guy is incredibly impressive and probably a top 3-5 coach in the league right now. Very impressed with the culture he has built, his defensive schemes, and the adjustments he makes. He is going to out-coach Doc in this series. No doubt in my mind. Masai needs to pay that man his money if they haven't already done so.

The Lakers come all the way back from a ten-point deficit and beat the non-starters in Denver in OT 146-141. Both teams' non-starters played and the Lakers are 2-0 with those youngsters. James, AD, Westbrook, Anthony did not play in Denver either. Maybe the Lakers should move all four and get players and draft capital. It really is time for rebuild mode in LA.

Last dunk of the NBA regular season

Had sportscenter on briefly this morning. Saw part of the post game interview with Vogel.

He found out the Lakers were firing him during the interview.

Lakers couldn't even do the right thing and tell him they were letting him go.

That's hilarious.

He signed off on it all for sure...

Actually it's a damn good thing LeBron's playing for the Lakers right now.

Without him who would everyone blame for the lost season? :heh:

There's no question he deserves some blame.

But it's funny that somehow what happened this season is in no way upper management's faults.

Stephen A says the Lakers should hire him as president of bball operations but they cant afford him

Thats gotta be a low point for the franchise.

Cause he sadly probably isnt wrong.

What's really funny is that no one has said that, but you posted it anyway.

The most wild thing is this report about Westbrook immediately defying orders and saying hes the only one who brings the ball up.

If this is true, I gotta ask.....Why in the fuck did someone not just beat his fucking ass on the spot? I am not talking a Will Smith slap either. Like full blown beat him until hes incapacitated.

Whether its a player, coach, Lebrons body guard, the sacrficial water boy. His ass shoulda been beat.

What's really funny is I've been taking shots at the Lakers for years. And now it seems to bother you? Excellent.

Wasn't it LeBron that pulled the strings though?

Depends on what strings you're referring to. It was the Rambii that lost Ty Lue as a coaching hire. Having the Rambii in place instead of more capable people making basketball decisions and being in Jeanie's ear has been detrimental to say the least.

It can't be true. They met and had a discussion about roles before the trade was even arranged.

No, he's wrong. They need a new president, but not another clueless one.
