He can’t do what Embiid can do. He has never had to play out of double teams because of the way he passes. He just doesn’t get doubled. Embiid takes 2 more shots per game (19.5 to 17.5)

Embiid has improved tremendously playing out of double teams. Who said Jokic wasn’t great? He’s first team NBA and the second best 5 in the league. But he can’t do what Joel Embiid can do.

Correct. Embiid would be wasting a skill set that is a merger between Hakeem’s athleticism and grace and Shaq’s force and power. He was never forced to develop that game like Jokic in order to etch a place for himself in the league.

Just because YOU (Philly homer) believes that Embiid is hands down the better player doesn’t make it so.

The reality is that they are both elite and both in the conversation for most impactful player in the league along with Giannis and KD.

The difference is splitting hairs. The case for best player is not the open and shut case that is has been for most of the past 15 years.
