I didn't watch the game because I really do not give a flip about this season but those 2 guys are the ones you are having a problem with after these 2 games? After looking at the box score it seems to me one of the most important ABs in the game was Santana with 1 out and the bases loaded. This lineup is having issues from top to bottom.

Pitching is always ahead of the hitters at the beginning of the season. Let's give it a few games and see if we don't see a change in the offense.

santana gets some slack because the combination of Santana and pence ( with gallo) made last season watchable.

I am right there with you. This season doesn't mean much to me at all, other than using it to prepare for a real season next year.

Agree. A good opportunity to review and evaluate strengths and weaknesses.
Pitching for example looks very promising going forward.

I have likened it to an extended September, with nothing in the postseason to look forward to, and rosters are expanded.
