Cam’s incentives are all NLTBE so the rulings aren’t particularly relevant...even if he reaches all of them, they won’t hit this year’s cap, they’ll get deducted off next year. Of course theoretically they can roll this money to next year to cover it, but chances are most of it will be used up by in-season moves.

The New England Patriots' 2020 season officially starts on Monday July 27.

The five quarterbacks will report to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro first. No other players will be allowed to report before them.

No other position schedules have been announced but it is believed that the organized order will be WR, TE, RB. Then the CB/S, LB and then OL and DL. Special teams will be the last. That's all speculation.

The league and the NFLPA are negotiating about preseason. The league has made a dual offer. No preseason games or one preseason game per team. It appears that the players want one preseason game to be ready for full contact.

Right now there is a hitch. The league announced that 154 players had tested positive for Covid-19. Last night there wqas a rumor that 228 players were positive, but that has not been substantiated.

Be prepared for some new rules to be put in place to cope with Covid and to protect players.

The league has informed all owners and team principals to prepare for a $70M reduction in the cap in 2021. It is anticipated that owners will vote to spread the reduction over three years in 2021. 2022, 2023 at $22M, $22M, $23M. If the new vaccine works, then fans may be allowed to attend games but will be required to show proof of vaccination.

Before footballs start filling the air, however, players will need to go through a battery of medical and physical tests.

The first exercise on the itinerary will be patience, as the first two groups start coronavirus testing.

It’s likely the rest of the Patriots veterans will start filing in on Tuesday to start their initial round of testing.

Players will be tested daily for the first two weeks of training camp, and that will drop to every other day if the positivity rate dips below 5 percent.
