Not surprised he would go #1 but a team would trade up to #1. He is so young still too. I think the best future pros in this draft will not go top 5. Just getting that feeling but this is s fun obe bc of so many unknowns
Sure, would rather take a shot with a 19 year oldyouth is one of the top factors of NBA draft success
yes, just youth
Thinking more and more I dont want the Cavs to draft Toppin
@CitySushi you still wanting the Warriors to draft Deni with the #2 pick? I remember you really liking this kid, just curious if you still think he is a good fit with GS. Do you think he would be a good fit with CLE?
By far?
No.
Definitely not a consensus top pick this year.
Not sure about the #2 pick. Ideally I'd like to trade back a few slots to select him. But honestly every one of the top picks fits a need for the Warriors. I think the Cavs at 5 would be a great spot to try to land Deni. He can be a secondary playmaker for a team that really doesn't have many. You guys have a bunch of combo scoring guards, so having a forward who can distribute and handle makes a lot of sense.
It doesn't make much sense to look for another lottery pick in a subpar draft class but I guess if you like a guy, ok.
"Sources: The Timberwolves are attempting to acquire a second lottery pick. They’ve had talks with the Hawks for #6. A possible deal could include Jarrett Culver and #17. A number of teams are interested in Atlanta’s #6 pick—the Pelicans and Celtics being among them, sources say."
The upside to acquiring another player in a weak draft class is that that asking price is likely to be significantly lower. The Wolves don't have their pick next year so it might make sense for them to grab another player this year if they can get them.
Yeah very true but including Culver in a trade would be kinda questionable. Giving up on him already..hmm interesting. He's only 21.
the stats don’t love Edwards or wiseman.
the scouts like all 3.
hence combination.
but no one likes this draft becuase there’s no zion or ben Simmons.
I agree with that.
No sure fire thing at the top. No consensus best player.

He seems kinda slow for a guard at this point. His first step is average. Young, talented, great finisher with both hands. A lot to likePelton's system has Ball rated up with Townes and other premium #1s, but he also acknowledges that Ball's lack of shooting ability makes him a much bigger risk than other 1-1 type prospects. All of which i think is fair.
I would probably take Ball #1. But he's an awful fit for GS or Minny. And frankly Charlotte should be getting treated like how agents are treating the Kings.
