would like to see Miami go PG in round 1

theyre sitting in a pretty good spot, although a lot of the PGs are on the smaller side there. Curious where they’d go.

A guy who is really intriguing to me is RJ Hampton.

the guy has been working out with Mike Miller (yes the former nba player, Roy winner and nba champ with the heat) and he says he’s completely overhauled his mechanics.

if this kid can shoot the 3 he might have the highest upside in the draft and is at least up there.

Agree. He's a pretty fascinating prospect, and there's a pretty big variance on where he could end up getting drafted. I've seen anywhere from 7ish to 15ish. I've had him around 15 the whole time. To me he's very similar to what Romeo Langford was last year. If he's not your #1 or #2 scoring option does he bring enough value defensively and shooting. I don't think he will right away. He's a boom or bust guy IMO. I think worth the risk around 15 or so. And team will also play a factor into this as well.

  • Rumblings around the NBA suggest that the Warriors (No. 2) and Hornets (No. 3) both “covet” former Memphis center James Wiseman, according to O’Connor. If Wiseman is atop each team’s draft board, that means Charlotte might have to trade up to No. 1 to have a shot at him.
  • There’s a belief in league circles that the Cavaliers (No. 5) are high on former Dayton forward Obi Toppin, says O’Connor. That lines up with what we’ve heard in recent weeks from Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, who reported on Monday that the Cavs will privately work out Toppin this week.
  • The Hawks are shopping the No. 6 overall pick in the 2020 draft and intend to make a push for the postseason in 2020/21, multiple league sources tell Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.

If GS covets Wiseman, I don't understand the logic in letting Charlotte trade up to take him. Yes they get an unprotected 1st rounder in 2022 (in the theoretical trade O'Connor suggests) and its somewhat useful given their cap situation and it should be a better draft, but its no guarantee its a high one. Charlotte needed lotto luck to get this high this time around. And at 3, who is left that would fit their roster? I'd much rather just stay at 2 and take Wiseman in this scenario. I'm gonna need a player or two as part of a larger deal if I'm gonna make that swap with Charlotte

Charlotte doesn’t have much to offer. It’s a borderline expansion team.

if they offered you 3 and Washington that might make sense.

not sure anyone else does.

I would be surprised at this point if GS trades that pick. Heard they love Deni and considering Wiseman

This draft is a toss-up...at this point I could see the top 5 going a million different ways.

Impossible.

@buckalis said they as much young talent as anybody in the league.

Seriously though, they do have a couple young pieces that would make good depth for GS. But I also doubt they want to move those players.

Well, if bucky said it, there really isn't any further discussion necessary, is there? :noidea:

I mean I'm sure GS would take Graham, but taking a guy who is going to be your backup PG for giving up Wiseman is ok.

Now if you give Washington and 3 and then the discussion is basically Washington and the USC Center or Wiseman....that's a conversation.

Charlotte is just horrific at drafting btw.

Not surprising to me at all.

he’s the best combination of stats and scouts by far
Not surprised he would go #1 but a team would trade up to #1. He is so young still too. I think the best future pros in this draft will not go top 5. Just getting that feeling but this is s fun obe bc of so many unknowns
