I hope B. Wallace takes the 42 team offer. I am fed-up watching an over-rated jackass driver screw-up running in the top 10 with 2 laps to go yesterday at the Daytona infield race. How could RPM think a part ownership offer is going to change this joke of a driver? A complete waste of a driver's seat with all that racist baggage. Makes me want hurl.

What happened with him? He was running 8th with two laps to go, then all the sudden not even in the top 20.

You could see a spin way off in the distance when they showed Chase crossing the finish line. I’m assuming that was him

Got to thinking about this yesterday watching the race. You said Wallace is a mid pack driver mostly because of his ride and its about all his team gives him. Hypothetical, say Wallace was to get the 48 after Johnson steps down. Would he leap into a contender role or stay a midpack driver?

He turns into Kasey Kahne. Runs midpack all season then wins a race.

Well, it looks like the final 10 races are going to be the Jimmy Johnson retirement tour. I was never a big fan of his but always respected his ability. I think letting Knaus leave was the beginning of the end for him, just like it was for Stewart when he let Grubb go after they pulled off that amazing Chase run back in 2011 (although Stewart had other issues other than that his last couple of years).
Only other thing I noticed looking at the standings is that I was very shocked to see Kyle Busch in the Chase without a single win.

I sit down to eat lunch on Sunday at work and I am watching the closing laps of the Talladega race. Lo and behold, I look-up and see the 43 Car up front and leading the race with Logano behind him. I watch this race because, despite Wallace a complete fraud, I want to see the 43 car in Victory Lane once again.

So I watch the laps count down and Logano is on the high side with a train behind him and Wallace is on the low side with cars behind him with 8 to go. I start thinking. I bet Wallace is going to eff this whole thing up. Sure enough, on lap 7 to go, Wallace moves up to the high side to apparently block Logano who was coming on. Wallace suddenly slows a bit and Logano dives onto the inside lane and Wallace is left with Preece behind him and he eventually gets bumped into the wall and loses positions to go to the pits.

How can you go from leading the race to hitting the wall and eventually hitting the wall head-on and ending himself any respectable finish. I am so glad this dude is gone from the iconic 43.

Good news for Richard Petty Motorsports with the signing of Erik Jones to drive the 43 next year. It is a multiple-year deal-some think it is 2 but could be as high as 5. Great young talent that RPM desperately needs and now the hunt is on sponsorship money. Good signing indeed!

Jones and RPM are building a good, solid team and it already shows. I see Jones and the 43 eventually winning a race.

Another nice finish for Erik Jones at Bristol. Eighth place is pretty darn good for this RPM race team.
