I've hated him pretty much his entire career, but poor ole Jimmie, I feel a bit sorry for him now. Get wrecked trying put a slow car a lap down right as the stage is about to end.

Reddick moved up nicely in the first stage. He's gonna be the best of this rookie class.

But just saw the replay, Johnson can't get mad at anyone but himself there.

I remember JJ driving the Excedrin car in the Busch series and just being a ho hum driver. I will never fell sorry for him.

Ryan Newmans luck continues.
Running 9th got a speeding penalty (his lights are way off from actual)
fell back to 29th drove all the way back to 15th so far.
At least he has a fast car.

I remember him in the Busch series. His only notable highlight was when his brakes went out or his throttle hung at Watkins Glen. His Cup Series success is probably the biggest surprise in NASCAR that I can recall

Nascar feel normal without fans.

I do think they should eventually throw in one 45 minute practice session

I hope Reddick puts Hamlin in the wall. Wasn't his fault, but fuck Hamlin, that cost Reddick 3 spots.

Every single restart Ryan starts on inside has to give up a few spots to get to high side, then takes all that time to pass them back :(

Heres to hoping some of that luck changes & he gets some outside restarts here at the last part of the race.

50th career win for Harvick. Been a great career.

Started off shakey, but a cleaner race than I was expecting. Nice fun for Reddick too

No Andrettis and no Earnhardts out there makes watching the races not quite as fun as they used to be. I got to find a driver to root for to watch these more often.

Also, Kenseth and Newman both did good after long layoffs for different reasons. Realistically, a top 20, lead lap finish had to be the goal for their first race back, and they both did that.

Harvick is my guy until he retires, but I've got Reddick picked to me my guy after Harvick retires. Kid can wheel a car, and unlike most of the young drivers, he seems to have a personality.

I think he'll have an exciting career.

Look at today. Started 29th, drove his way up to the top 5 before he had to go back to the end of the leadlap when that debris got stuck on his grill, and then drove his way back through the field for a 7th place finish. And that's with Childress car, so it's likely he did all that with a 15th-20th place car. He did similar the last race before the layoff, but had tire trouble that took him out of a good finish

wednesday nights race should be interesting. not happy that it is just a 300 mile race.
too bad that race is on FS1.

It's a 3 day break between races, the mid week races need to be shorter, especially after a long layoff, and running on a work night, and a 600 mile race just 4 days after.

This is where having the multiple races in a week is gonna be a stretch. Tomorrow and Wednesday are gonna be washouts in Darlington, they're gonna have to run Thursday, and then have a car ready for Charlotte on Sunday. Gonna be a tough ask for a lot of the smaller teams.

I'd be surprised if all of these upcoming races had full lineups. It's a lot of stress to put on all of these teams, especially these smaller, one car teams.

Tommy Baldwin Racing came out of retirement for this, and I don't know who owns that 78 car that was out there.
