I cannot keep up on the nicknames so I just go (usually) with the real names. I believe that you are correct on who those two are.

Really? I thought it was a site for exchanging dessert recipes.

It is hard enough remembering THIS year's (and last year's) stupid nicknames. Remembering those for marginal players who have not been with the team for over a year is even more difficult.

But maybe the goal is to make as many obtuse, incomprehensible posts as possible? Is there a contest? Who is winning?

I knew about all of these except Alcantara. He's the closest they've gotten to inviting an infielder to camp as a non-roster. In fact, the only other position player invited is Krizan, who has played 107 games at 1st base, 63 games at 2nd base and 3 games at 3rd base in his minor league career. That is compared with 717 games in the outfield in 9 seasons.

Have you noticed how quiet FZ has been on the dfa front since he went 0 for 3 in retaining dfa'd players in late November? The only players moved off the 40 man roster since then were the non-tendered guys, and he had much better luck retaining them (although one seemed to indicate that the non-tender was completely pointless). Of course, we'll eventually hear of a dfa, if the LaStella deal ever becomes official. Even then, FZ has yet to pick up a waiver claim from another org this offseason.
