I think at the end of the year the Lions will be right there. In Detroit I mean.Lions true colors appeared yesterday, this is the Lions I used to know and love. If they ever "truly make it" I will smile, but I know better than to jump on their bandwagon and get my heart crushed again. I gave up on them over 40 yrs, ago and have begged the Ford family to sell the team. 61 yrs. of ineptitude is enough.
The pic posted is from my first ever game, arguably the greatest Turkey Day game ever, they utterly crushed the Packers. It has been all down hill since. If Plum hadn't stupidly thrown an interception late in their first meeting that year, they would've been in the title game then.
There is no shame in losing, but yesterday was a veritable asses handed to them slaughter x10. Let's see how they react in the coming weeks, but.....I'm not gonna hold my breath. I still have my #44 jersey buried in a closet somewhere. But hey how about them Wings! That won't last forever but I sure am smiling now.I think at the end of the year the Lions will be right there. In Detroit I mean.
But seriously I think they are a very good team. I don't think yesterday's loss says too much about them. Just a bad day.
