Maybe or Maybe not

So you must be reading alot of junk anti Snyder racist redskins name media outlets
I think I will let this play out some before I decide to jump of a bridge
Agree on this. Would love to see this team prove myself & others wrong & start building a good team. I feel very, very confident that this won't happen.
Of course 2019 will be a losing season. We have more than 20 million of our cap going to a guy that won’t be playing, and his position is the costliest in football for a reason.
Yep - if the FO tried to operate in the mold of other successful teams they would look towards 2020 & beyond. As you have suggested elsewhere - I would consider moving certain key players & clearing cap space beyond next season regardless of what they get in return (if anything).
I would look at players like Kerrigan & Williams & ask "Can they be major contributors in 2020? 2021?". If the answer is no or questionable then you need to consider moving on from them. The only objective long term that matters for any team is winning the SB. If all a team cares about is just making the playoffs periodically (like the Skins appear to do) - well - that is a losing strategy.
It may be tough to watch a true rebuilding team for a season or two, but it may be the only way to obtain the ultimate prize. Having said that - again - this team will look for the short term fix & the goal of getting to a SB will be a pipedream for many, many years.
I like everything you said here except “it may be tough to watch a true rebuilding.” I think it would be far easier to watch because it would provide hope. And hope is something I don’t believe any of us truly have regarding this team today.

Nope. I think that I am reading a lot into 20 years of primarily losing seasons, expansion of duties for a guy who has a horrible history & disdain for the fans, a horrible secondary, subpar receiving core, major concerns at TE due to age & injuries, similar concerns at OL, huge coaching concerns & basically no faith in the QB position. Other than that everything is great.
How in the hell is that related to the media bashing Snyder & the Redskins?
Why do folks keep mentioning 2021 for Kerrigan and Williams? Both are FAs in 2021.![]()
Why in hell would this organization be concerned with today or next year? In truth I would be bothered if Dan Snyder wasn't looking long term and all that comes with doing business then.
If anyone who is a fan/ follower/supporter of this team now admitted it, we are all already sold on this team and our support has already been taken into account. Snyder's concerns aren't centered on us anymore, but rather who, and to what degree, any future fans will support his franchise.
If this means that no matter what they can't get cap relief for either over the next several years than fine - keep both unless you can get really good picks in a trade (not likely). However - regardless of their actual status for 2021 - if you can significant cap relief either next year or the following then you have to consider this.
I have not researched this enough. You tell me - if the Skins get rid of either or both do they realize significant cap relief over the next few seasons? Folks need to look past just next season & also remove their emotions from the equation. Again - solid organizations like the Pats & Eagles make these types of moves all of the time & it usually works out well.
Again - having said this it doesn't matter since we are not the ones making these decisions, & this organization always seems to favor window dressing & focusing only on one season at a time. Also - please don't take this as an insult to either Kerrigan or Williams. I love both of them & would not be disappointed if they continue to contribute to the Redskins for many years to come. Just looking at this as a business decision.
