Kamara #1 and Chubbs #5, I like that.
yes sir, im flying high on kamara this year. I also like clevelands commitment to the run, chubbs involvement in the passing game, and an offense that just added more talent

No you ain't wrong. The line was better than the year before though, and they could continue improving, but yea, absolutely, Eli is done, the WR corp is atrocious, and the team as a whole pretty much blows. On top of that, even if they could stay in games, Barkley isnt the type to hand the ball to 25+ times a game between the tackles and expect to last long. He's no grinder

If the Browns copy the spread offense of the Pats, Saints and Eagles, I don't see Chubb doing that well. Certainly not top 5.

Not with Duke, ODB, Landry and Njoku on the team. Too many mouths to feed. And that's just up to week 8.

yep. I like Chubb, I think he'd gonna have a great year. But top five is a very tall order

From what I've heard and read, Duke is a near-certainty to be traded; I guess we'll see.

Then I hope the Bears get him somehow.

He'd be a good fit with that offensive philosophy, I think. As far as the Vikings go, I wanna see them get that "ground it and pound it" kinda guy to back Cook. I thought it worked pretty well last year.

Duke being around, I'd still be somewhat confident that Chubb could make top five anyways, but Hunt is the thorn that'll hurt him down the stretch.

Personally I hope Duke ends up anywhere that will actually use him heavily. He's a poor man's CMac, can do everything he can, at nearly the same level. Just needs a good chance to prove it. Tampa would be great. But I'd also love to see him compliment Zeke in Dallas for personal reasons

Those teams you listed run the ball really well Joe, think Pats and Saints are top 6 in rushing yardage. Having other weapons is both a curse and a blessing. Got to spread the ball a round, but your not the focus of the defense either.

True.
But Pats use more weapons and as fantasy owners we see how the RB value is diluted.
Saints use less weapons and we see how an offense to 3 players translates to fantasy value.
I'm not quite there yet with the Browns.

Pats made Blount useful to FF owners with his goal line carries, plenty of owners are banking on Michel this season. Chiefs made use of a array of offensive talent last year, don’t see why the Browns can’t do the same. Guess we’ll see how it works out.

as promised...

  1. Ezekiel Elliott - same coach, same usage, same results.
  2. Alvin Kamara - departure of Ingram will boost his usage.
  3. Saquon Barkley - no ODB may see a drop; but his floor is better than most ceilings.
  4. Le'Veon Bell - Gase has run nearly 400 run plays even with Manning/Cutler.
  5. Derrick Henry - Santana: "they ain't got nobody that they can depend on."
  6. Todd Gurley II - arthritis in the knee may drop him farther.
  7. Devonta Freeman - healthy with no Coleman.
  8. Christian McCaffrey - Chico says he will ease up his work load.
  9. Melvin Gordon - nothing to add here, but this is a good offense.
  10. Joe Mixon - stealthily had over 100 all-purpose yards per game.
  11. Chris Carson - not sure i like him here? Move down... probably.
  12. David Johnson - new coach wants to run more but his history says otherwise.
  13. Sony Michel - if he's used like he was in the playoffs... look out.
  14. Dalvin Cook - new OC better get more out of him.
  15. Leonard Fournette - don't like him & his poor ypc, but maybe Foles at helm helps?
  16. Marlon Mack - he has run hard, hopefully he's used more than the 3-headed RB.
  17. Nick Chubb - new offense may have too many mouths to feed... waiting.
  18. James Conner - wore out down the stretch and now there's no AB.
  19. Kerryon Johnson - like this kid, but hate how quickly he got hurt.
  20. Aaron Jones - secretly hope the Packers franchise spirals out of control.

Nice list Joe. One thought I had about your list or at least your reasoning...
Barkley gets down graded because ODB is leaving and Chubbs get down graded because ODB is arriving....seem kind of contrary.

Good stuff so far, but I've gotta say, I'm back and forth on Mack. He may end up being totally underrated.

Touché.
But it also has to do with...
...Duke is still on the roster.
...Hunt comes back in week 9.
...as bad as the Giants were on offense, they were still better than when Kitchens took over for Cleveland.

It's early.
If Duke gets dealt, I can bump Chubb up.
Got nothing against him.

I'll just say this, go ahead and put at least 1 colts RB in your top 20 somewhere this yr, promise at least 1 of them scores enough with Luck to be a high end RB2 at season's end

Yeah.

But ELi sucked last year, the line was terrible and he had very little talent around him aside from OBJ.

The Giants can only improve their offensive pieces between now and training camp. Let's see what they do on the draft, but Rosen's year in AZ was a lot worse than Eli's. Wasn't all Rosen's fault, but still.
