I hope Gaines is better than Brockers at NT but it’s good to have options.

We will see. This rookie class could be pretty fun to watch this year unlike last year.

I like the safety and corner that we picked... that means our rookie FS can learn from Eric Weddell, and Long can learn from Talib on how to cover at a high level. I'm stoked either way for the most part.

Gaines and Donald will be a great duo, Gaines has a lot to learn, Donald has a lot to teach

I am confident that Gaines will start as a rook just like Donald. Otherwise maybe we will move some peeps and sign Danny Shelton since we apparently have this close relationship with the Patriots. This D and O are shaping-up to be even faster. Now all we have to do is get McVay to understand the 46 defense and its nuances and to add the jumbo package to beat it to his jet-propulsion, lightning quick offense.

Looks like all eight draft picks will make the final 53 man roster. Rapp will replace Countess. Henderson will replace Justin Davis. Long will replace Sam Shields. Bobby Evans will replace Saffold. Gaines will replace Suh. Edwards will replace Sullivan. Dakota Allen will replace Hager. Nick Scott will replace Barron.

That leaves two UDFA's to replace Ramik Wilson and Matt Longacre. Morgan Fox will replace Westbrooks.
