Or he might be their #1 option and put up bigger numbers and make it easy
might...but as likely he wouldn't. We've never seen him running an offense, so who there is getting him the ball and/or taking pressure off him?

Did I say he wasn't? But according to the advanced metrics his D was nothing special either. Isn't to say I don't think he's a solid defender. Elite? Not so sure.

Enough with advanced metrics. Use your eyes (take off the Cavs shades first).

do you think that if Charlotte switched out Kemba for Klay that they would be better?

You're too knowledgeable about the game of basketball to pose this sort of question, lol. The answer is clearly no, but you also know there's more context to why this wouldn't be a fair 1 vs 1 swap. You're better than that man, lol.

I don't blame him for being upset. That's a lot of cashish, but the guys who made it ahead of him are worthy of their selections...as are others besides him.

Absolutely. Again I have no problem with any of the guys selected ahead of him. They're deserving. But the name calling is absurd when you think about how close Klay is to actually making that team. He rolled his eyes, but then said he respects those guys, but believes he should be there. The eye roll was definitely a bad look, but he got caught up in the moment for his live reaction in front of the media.

Robin needs his Batman. Kyrie learned over the last 2 years he's not a leader, he's a follower. His #'s for a so-called superstar were pathetic in that Bucks series (minus game 1).

4-18 (1-5)
8-22 (2-8)
7-22 (1-7)
6-21 (1-7)

25-83 (.301) / 5-27 (.185)

I can't wait to see where he ends up next season. Two things will happen. 1- he'll talk shit about the city of Boston on his way outta town. 2- he'll underperform in the biggest games of the season.

If that Boston roster is supposedly so talented, why could nobody rise to fill a Batman or Robin role next to Kyrie? Gotta look at coaching too, especially when that coach is favoring his former college player, who after injury is still not his former self after a full season.

Celtics made it to game 7 of the conference finals last year w/o Irving. Add Irving to the mix & it was a second round exit. Plus the team had a better record w/o Irving during the regular season.

To truly be favoring Hayward shouldn't have have started more than 18 of the 72 games he played in? I agree that he's not his former self though.

Ok.

And only a fool fan would prioritize games in December and January over winning championships.

Any Warrior fan with a brain is going to enjoy the experience of that January ticket regardless of the outcome. The real enjoyment comes in May and June when they are throttling everybody.

You have 5 consecutive Finals trips, probably a 4th title in 5 years and a remarkable core with highly likeable (minus KD) and fun players.

Only a fool complains about anything in Oakland because it is nothing but positive.
Fair enough.

Not sure I agree with 2......did pretty well in the Robin role here in some big games.

That was w/ LeBron. But he didn't get the Cavs to the playoffs before # 23 returned to Cleveland. And the Celtics got to the conference finals last year w/o him & they had a better record when he didn't play in the regular season this year.

He's obviously hit some big shots. But he will never be the guy to carry a team to a title. He can't be a championship teams # 1 guy.

I don't disagree, other than the notion he'll underperform in big games as we've seen him step up when he's not the #1.

Says everyone when stats don't make a player stand out how they'd like. We are not talking basic stats only here. Also advanced stats.

BTW, when I watch he also is only hitting 38% of his shots and 34% from 3.

Have you not watched the playoffs?

Bradley Beal (who also didn't make the playoffs) finished ahead of Klay in the voting as well.

Bringing up team accomplishments in this is very dumb.

Maybe eventually you'll understand this is an individual accomplishment.

Team record means absolutely nothing.

I will take Klay Thompson over Bradley Beal 100 times out of 100.

How can you say it's a notion when I posted his shooting #'s from games 2 through 5 against the Bucks? I didn't make those #'s up. He had 4 chances to step up as the # 1 in that series & failed.

Yeah, I really like Beal and would love for the Lakers to trade for him if they don't trade for AD or get one of the big time FA's.

But given a choice between Klay and Beal, I'm taking Klay without hesitation.
