Just listened to their song A More Perfect Union...hadn't heard of em'. That main riff sounds pretty dang close to Feel the Pain by Dinosaur Jr.

You should prolly hit up youtube and listen to Husker Du...maybe start with Zen Arcade, for your street-cred homework assignment. Album likely came out before you were even in yer Dad's balls yet.

To be fair, I've hated the venue where I saw them the first 2 times. I've experienced poor vocals almost every show I've seen in that venue, from any concert.

Saw them in 2009, 2013, 2015. They're not in my area during this current tour.

But I know they tour frequently, so it will probably be soon.

Thought I'd let ya know that Clutch was excellent. Setlist was excellent. Opened with Mice and Gods.

I'm really tempted to head out to Clarkston, MI in August with my wife (who is from Michigan). Slipknot and Korn are each headlining tours that hit DTE on back-to-back nights. 8/12 & 8/13. To add to the intrigue, 8/14 is my 20th wedding anniversary and we spent our 13th anniversary at DTE for a System of a Down & Deftones concert...

...really tempted... ...will further discuss it with the Mrs. later tonight...

no luck getting Avail tickets. I tried to get the Philly tickets right at 4PM (when they went on sale) but the website server had issues from traffic and by 4:03 it said they were unavailable. apparently they sold some tickets later around 5:30P or so and they're sold out now.

I’ve seen social distortion a couple times, not with the current line up though. Never seen Flogging Molly.
