I don't give a shit about the celebrity game, but the stuff after that is of interest. The Rising Stars on Friday Night, All-Star Saturday Night, then the game itself Sunday Night.

Hopefully the 3-Point Shootout will be better than this one.

I wanna see the Curry Brothers shoot it out in the 3 pt contest. Hell, put Dell in there too. You know he can still get buckets

The rising stars and all star games seem to usually suck(maybe it's just been recently). There are times where it's close at the end and the players really try to win, but more often than not it's shooting practice with layups, dunks, 3's, and maybe 10% defense. Some players will try to score as much as possible and chuck up a lot of shots, some will try to get as many assists as possible, and big men/athletic guards go for flashy dunks. I'm sure there are people that enjoy it, but it's pretty boring imo. The AS Saturday events are hit or miss but they actually feel like competitions.

Yeah it's so different from an actual game of basketball, you're not even really seeing what these talented noobs can do, it's like watching a game at the Y.

You can see their shooting/passing/dunking abilities but there's more to basketball than that. I know defense in the league isn't on the level of what it used to be, but there's not many games where both teams reach 140+ points. If it's called a game they should be trying to win(unless you're tanking) which isn't happening.

I agree with you.

But also understand the players' perspective.

They are basically on vacation. It requires a lot of energy and force to defend a single all star player, let alone a team of them. The players prefer to have a fun experience in a game that doesn't matter. Their defensive effort is being saved for a game that counts.

Oh I totally get it and I completely understand why and don't have a problem with it. But I have no interest in watching

Jokic eliminates Veucevic to advance to the semifinal round in a rather cool manner.

Tatum eliminates Conley in what I guess can be described as a come from behind victory.
