It's MADDENING.

Hospitals and clinics in my area are offering a sputum test, for $95, that doesn't even diagnose Covid -19.

It just rules out everything else.

I'm considering moving into a extended stay Hotel near my job to avoid bringing this shit home with me because my kid is high risk for complications.

Unfortunately, those of us that work healthcare don't have the option to work at home.

Oh yeah, the guy is passionate about building a competitive team.

Even before the racist shit happened, that Sterling guy should have been kicked out of the NBA for having a team in LA and not giving enough of a shit to give his fans a quality product.

Definitely way worse owners than Cuban. They get away with it because they avoid the spotlight so nobody knows how bad they are.

I kind of get what DJ was saying. Sure for some (like you) this is a huge deal compared to what it might be for some others. There definitely seem to be some who are taking it a little too far.

I mean, buying out stores for TP? I wonder if those people ever thought if the world's TP supply was not available for a month or 2 we might just have bigger issues than our TP supply?

This whole thing right now is part real and part media driven hysteria.

Yes, people are dying. But so far, it looks to be mainly the same people that are at risk every flu season, older people, people with compromised immune systems and very young children.

My mother-in-law is 85 and my wife has lupus. We are taking the same precautions we have taken every flu season for about the past 5ish years.

My wife stays with her Mom (5 minutes away) so that she doesn't risk catching it from me or my son if either of us were to get sick. The 2 of them try to limit how much contact they have with people who aren't family and family knows to stay away if they have symptoms or have been around people who do.

This one seems a little stronger and seems to spread a little quicker, but end of the day, the overwhelming majority of people are going to either not get it, or recover just fine.

As for me, business as usual.
