To be completely fair to Wiggy...

It's not like he's out of the woods just yet. The improvement he has shown is encouraging and most rational folks understand that it generally takes about 3-5 years for a point guard to truly learn the position at the NBA level.

But, even with the improvement, it's still a big jump to get from where he is now to the 45%+ that he needs to get to in fg% and to the 65-70%+ that he needs to get to in free throw%.

So while it looks like he's not going to be the bust that Wiggy was predicting/hoping for, there's still a chance that he won't ever live up to his draft position either.

Wiggy was more critical of his inability to hit a 3....

Yeah, I think he's on the right trajectory to be a nice player in the league. Obviously the NBA is a bit different now, so stats are a bit inflated, but if you compare his 3rd year numbers to J-Kidd's they're actually pretty similar. Not saying he'll be Jason Kidd, but just saying that their numbers could indicate he's on the right path.

Lonzo:
32.4 MPG, 12.4 Pts, 7.0 Apg, 6.2 Rpg, 3.1 TO, 41.2/38.3/52.3%

Kidd:
35.7 MPG, 10.9 Pts, 9.0 Apg, 4.5 Rpg, 2.6 TO, 40.3/37.0/67.9%

Kidd was also a year older.

Wow, I was lazy and didn't bother looking up Kidd's numbers. He's actually a lot closer to that trajectory than I thought.

I agree that he's not likely to be Kidd, but if he can be "Kidd-lite", growing up with Ingram, Zion, etc...the Pels could win a lot of basketball games in the coming years.

Yeah, it's funny.

If you're the Lakers, you obviously make the trade for AD 100 times out of 100.

But with Ingram playing at an all star level, if Lonzo keeps improving and Josh Hart remains a solid player...if AD walks...that trade would end up being a disaster for the Lakers, especially if they don't win the title.

Despite the concerns about his size, Zion looks like he could be a monster for a few years at least...the Pels could be a handful for quite awhile if they can keep everyone together.

And damn they're fun to watch.

"if AD walks...that trade would end up being a disaster for the Lakers"

Then LakersNation is screwed. Because there's no question the Unibrow will be in Milwaukee, I mean Boston next year. On a team friendly contract of course.

Giannis being out may have something to do with that.

I mean with the way Bucky puts it I'm not sure why DJ Wilson just didn't step up and drop 20/15 in his place. Sterling Brown should have been able to pick up the scoring slack and get at least 18 a game. No excuses, per Bucky.

All facts though

I happened to be watching the show when he said it. Damn near spit coffee all over myself.

Hilariously accurate description.

Chuck wins.

Dray should just quit while he's behind. But something tells me he won't. lol

Draymond will never quit. That's why he's become Draymond.

These two need to be on a podcast together. Old guy and a new school guy arguing over basketball. It would be great content.

Somehow, I doubt you have to worry much about AD leaving.

Back to Milwaukee, I think Giannis' injury is affecting them. As goes the Greek Freak so too goes the Bucks. Once he comes back they'll be fine.

Probably. But I'm taking nothing for granted. Until he signs a deal, there's a chance he won't. It might be a small chance, but you never know.

He seems to get along well with Lebron and Lebron has another year before his option year. I would think that, at the least, he'd sign a 2 year deal with player option after 1.

But, sometimes, something relatively small can turn out to be a big deal. Without Draymond's comments, KD might still be a Warrior.

Hope not. But I said the same about Dwight many moons ago.

True.

I didn't see the cp3 defection coming until right before it happened.

Still, it's close to a sure thing.

He's happy and you are winning.
