No. They lost to the Lakers and the other losses since then have been with Giannis out. Last night, with Giannis already out, they also sat Middleton and Brooke Lopez.
Well that explains a lot that Giannis is out why there losing

Yeah minimal improvement but his 3 pt shooting has become very good and we all knew his strength was his vision. Needs to get those TO’s down but otherwise improving. Needs to take a bigger step next year

Yeah, the jump is 3 point shooting is his biggest improvement.

If he can get his field goal percentage up over 45% and his free throw shooting up over 65% (would really prefer over 70%, but baby steps lol), he could get a bit to closer to the "Jason Kidd ceiling" that some folks have talked about.

He'll never be Kidd, but he could be "Kidd-lite".

Yeah, I think Giannis tweaking his knee a little bit scared them and now they're looking to start resting guys to get to the playoffs healthy.

Makes sense to start resting and getting ready for the playoffs

Yeah their easy upcoming schedule should help. Boston, GS, Miami and Memphis.

Wait...

This guy’s a bum and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want any of OG.

NBA, keeping the English-French rivalry alive!

Yeah, it puts the Lakers in an interesting position.

They are only 2.5 games behind the Bucks for the best overall record and only trail them by 1 in the loss column.

It'll be interesting to see if they try to take advantage and catch the Bucks or start resting guys themselves.

Yeah, hard to see them losing any of those, even if Giannis doesn't play.
Really? Those are three playoff teams and GS who may or may not have Curry.

I think the three against playoff teams, at least the Eastern ones, are toss ups. And Memphis did beat the Lakers barely a week ago.

Playing good defense too.

Yeah, it's funny.

If you're the Lakers, you obviously make the trade for AD 100 times out of 100.

But with Ingram playing at an all star level, if Lonzo keeps improving and Josh Hart remains a solid player...if AD walks...that trade would end up being a disaster for the Lakers, especially if they don't win the title.

Despite the concerns about his size, Zion looks like he could be a monster for a few years at least...the Pels could be a handful for quite awhile if they can keep everyone together.

And damn they're fun to watch.

Anyone else notice what a nice season Lonzo is putting together?

He's averaging 12.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 7 apg. His overall field goal pecentage (41.2%) isn't great, but that's up from 39% for his first 2 seasons.

He's also shooting 38.3% from 3. His free throw percentage is up to 56.7% which isn't good, but that's up from his career percentage of 48.3%.

*Paging @WiggyRuss*

@Mecca......remember when we talked about Bradley Beal being a great fit for the Lakers? Man, if he was on the Lakers.....just cancel the season.

Yeah, I think he's on the right trajectory to be a nice player in the league. Obviously the NBA is a bit different now, so stats are a bit inflated, but if you compare his 3rd year numbers to J-Kidd's they're actually pretty similar. Not saying he'll be Jason Kidd, but just saying that their numbers could indicate he's on the right path.

Lonzo:
32.4 MPG, 12.4 Pts, 7.0 Apg, 6.2 Rpg, 3.1 TO, 41.2/38.3/52.3%

Kidd:
35.7 MPG, 10.9 Pts, 9.0 Apg, 4.5 Rpg, 2.6 TO, 40.3/37.0/67.9%

Kidd was also a year older.

To be completely fair to Wiggy...

It's not like he's out of the woods just yet. The improvement he has shown is encouraging and most rational folks understand that it generally takes about 3-5 years for a point guard to truly learn the position at the NBA level.

But, even with the improvement, it's still a big jump to get from where he is now to the 45%+ that he needs to get to in fg% and to the 65-70%+ that he needs to get to in free throw%.

So while it looks like he's not going to be the bust that Wiggy was predicting/hoping for, there's still a chance that he won't ever live up to his draft position either.
