That first game the Lakers had a new head-coach, new system and new players. I wouldn't have been terribly surprised if they had lost to any team in that first game.

Clippers were the same playoff team and they added Kawhi.
Really?

No excuses.

Y'all were better today.

We were better opening day and Xmas.

Clippers may have to sit Lou at end of games if he's not doing work on offense.

One regular Season game, my Friend.

None of this will matter come the playoffs.

With that being said, yeah.

Clippers are better on paper.

But, not a grand canyon like gap like some have portrayed.

We get to dance one more time this Season.

Definitely. just one game...i had us in 7 before the season and I'll stivk with it. gonna be a GREAT series...i don't expect lou will to play like that in a series, but i am liking what I'm seeing with big brother morris on harrell. Vogel kills me with rondo however.

Maybe.

Hopefully.

You face the Griz as of now and they just beat you with your team at full strength.

Clearly that makes them better than the Lakers.

So, you might be a first round knockout.

:heh:

yeeaaaahhhh, i'm thinkiiiiiinnnngggg, no...

Ja Morant is pretty bomb, though...:thumb:

same, which honestly woulda went a long way in pissin' me off...
Regular Season.

Both Teams clearly wanted to win.

Your Team wanted it more.

Remember Lebron's Cavs battles with Toronto?

Regular Season wins meant Jack shit once the playoffs started.

So, even if we would have won, wouldn't have been an indictment on what the Lakers could do in the Post Season.

Playoff LeBron is as scary as Playoff Kawhi, maybe even more.

...and it should because it was a bunch of bullshit.

I'm pretty sure I just said last week that the gap in talent has been highly exaggerated.

But, there is a gap.

Yep. Not insurmountable, but very real.

Like I said the other day, 1-7/8 the Lakers can hang and a series would be a tossup, imo.

It's when a couple of the 1-8 guys are having an off game, get into foul trouble or get hurt and you have to start going into the 9-15 guys that the Clippers advantage really shows.

Fun example, our #14 guy is Dudz...your #15 is Joakim Noah.

Both are washed and I love Dudz, dudes a lot of fun. But if I have to go that deep into my bench...I want Noah.

Odd you missed the part where you're the only one bitching about. I'd say it's you that has the problem. And if you have an issue with any other sarcastic comments of mine feel free to ignore them.
You're a touchy little guy ain't ya?

Yeah.

But, like we said a week ago, Clippers depth will get minimized come the playoffs.

I don't expect Doc to go 10 or 11 deep.

That helps the Lakers.

The one thing that irked me today is Shamet not getting more burn.

Jackson got most of his minutes.

I'd still play him. The threat of him scoring is enough to keep opposing teams honest. Biggest difference in the Lakers game today, especially in the 2nd half, is the Clippers chose NOT to guard Lebron with Kawhi or George. Morris was drawing the assignment most of the time or when Lebron got a favorable match up in a switch, the Clips wouldn't switch either of them onto him. That will change in the playoffs.

Noticed that as well. Have to think in a playoffs series that George and Kawhi get all of the 2nd half defensive assignments on Bron

Neither team will be going in planning to go 10-11 deep.

But like today, the Lakers had a couple of guys get into foul trouble, the Clips had a couple of guys with off games. Those things will happen in the playoffs.

When they do, in a 7 game series, I trust the guys coming off the Clips bench to be more consistent than the guys coming off the Lakers bench.

Oh, I was joking and having a little fun because @Shaqdaddy11 said this singular win proves that the Lakers are better.

So, by that logic, Memphis is better than the Lakers, right?

Ummmmmmmm...lol

Y'all were the better team today and I look forward to the playoffs.

Please GAWD, no injuries to derail this match up.

I'm only messing with you because apparently every time the Clippers lose its "regular season doesn't matter" unless they were playing against the Lakers those first two games.

Then it was such a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge gap between them.
