This small-ball lets-only-take-3's BS is fucking ugly basketball to watch.

It may win the Rockets a game or two, but they'll get killed in the playoffs when the top teams have room to adjust.

I think it gets you back to where you were before the trades and buyout acquisitions at best.

We were already better on paper.

You added a good scoring Morris, we added the better defensive Morris.

You added Waiters, we added Jackson.

That's a wash at best.

Again: Paper doesn't win games.

Clippers have to show it.

I enjoy bringing up the fact that you are 0-2 against us.

But, regular Season wins mean Jack shit.

This weekend will be a good measuring stick as to where both teams are

But, records get reset to 0-0 in the post season and those wins can't help us.

Yeah, forgot about the Jackson signing. So yeah, pretty much back to where we were when the season started. lol

Agree that the regular season is pretty meaningless and I think those games meant more to the Clippers because this is the first time that they've ever not only been able to challenge them, but are actually the better team.

They wanted to show it.

The playoffs are going to be interesting. As you say, on paper, the Clips are better.

But, we've all seen Lebron go supernova in playoffs, if he still has that in him, he's going to make the Lakers tough to beat. Especially if AD continues to play as aggressively as he has the past couple of games.

If those 2 things happen and they can have 1 or more of the role players step up, the Lakers have a decent chance. If any of those don't happen, they don't have any chance.

Hard to be the underdog as the #1 seed.

Not in the NBA in the era of "load management" it isn't.

I heard a stat that the Clippers are 9-0 when they have their entire team available.

Pretty sure if they had everybody available all season, they would likely have a better record than the Lakers and might be challenging the Bucks record.

I don't know why people think it's Clippers by a landslide.

They have the edge in depth. But, depth means less in the playoffs.

Playoff LeBron is a sight to behold. But, playoff Klaw ain't to shabby either.

I hope we get that matchup in the playoffs.

Me too. I think it'll be fun regardless of outcome.

In the playoffs, rotations drop to about 8. I think that helps the Lakers a little.

But, as we know, there will be games where 1 or more of those 8 has an off game, gets in foul trouble, or gets hurt. It's when you start having to bring in the 9-15 guys that the Clippers have the biggest edge.

Btw, are you watching the beatdown the Clips are putting on the Rockets right now?

that Houston isn’t very good?

Not really. Bad shooting games happen. Not the end of the world.

Games like this doesn't bother me. They're not going to shoot 3-34 or 8% from 3 in a series.

This game would be more concerning if Houston wasn't shooting so poorly and still was getting destroyed. You may have 1 or 2 games all year long where you shoot 30% from the field and under 10% from 3.

Clippers>Lakers in my opinion as of now.

Still think Denver is being disrespected a bit and they could surprise.
Also Utah and OKC could be very tough outs along with Dallas.
I think Memphis would be a pain in the ass to play first round but that might be a good thing for the Lakers .

Curry makes his first three, then Kerr pulls him the very next play. Kerr still committed to the tank.

Really? Right now it would be OKC

OKC in 6 but just not a big fan of them.

Upcoming schedule indicates they're likely a 5 seed IMO.

This coming Monday starts a pretty rough 2.5 week stretch for them.

VS MIL
AT DAL
AT SAS
AT LAL
VS LAC
AT OKC
AT TOR
AT CHI
AT MIA

For a team that just got their ass handed to them at home by the Warriors and barely beat Charlotte tonight, I don't see a single lock in those 9 games.

Solid chance Utah and Houston both pass them

Fair enough. Teams go through rough stretches in a season. They still have time to start playing better. Guess it depends where they end up in the standings
