Yeah only 2 games in. You forgot about Paul George? lol...they have the same team but swapped out SGA for Kawhi and Gallo for George. I think those are two HUGE upgrades. Their depth looks amazing. Hard to see anyone knocking them out but it's a long season and shit happens.

The fact that they only really have two big changes (and only one has taken full effect yet) gives them a leg up on their first two opponents (Lakers and Warriors), who are dealing with far more changes. Lakers have changed their coaching staff and have retained about as many players as the Clips are changing, and the Warriors are dealing with losing two players of the quality level that the Clips will be adding this year.

Still just as good as a super team with that depth. Their title will only go up...so PG does matter, he matters a lot

You think they are strong a favorite as the 2017 Warriors?

IMO, not great. Feels like they're still trying to figure it out, but right now it looks a bit disjointed. There's potential to figure it out, but overall I'm not sure they'll ever maximize their talents together. Feels like CP3/Harden on offense. Both guys on paper have the talent to make it work, just something seems to be missing.

Would probably feel like that on defense too, as neither Harden nor DLo care much about that end.

...or you're completely overboard in your fandom that you can't disassociate yourself from a team that cares absolutely nothing about you lol.
They have to care about me to call the team I've cheered for for 40+ years a we? Pretty sure I'm aware - as do all who call their teams we - that I don't play for them.

That's great....but you claimed they'd be doing the Cavs a favor by taking him. You were clueless. You wont admit it. Rinse, repeat.

And since I've said repeatedly its next to impossible to make a deal with LA I was probably aware it's not happening. Only fool here is the one who thinks he couldn't help LA.

You might want to read back a bit to see who claimed the Lakers would be doing the Cavs a favor. Hint: it wasn't me.

If you care about reaches then more foolish to take the guys you probably think they should have taken.....who were often projected to go after Waiters.

...projected by someone who was clearly wrong. That's who you are defending?

I would say they are the best team right now.

If I were to between the Clippers and the field, I take the field.

I put their chances of winning the title at around 40-45%.
That's about right. And that's who I predict wins the title.

On the radio here in SF they are already calling him Angelo (no D)

IMO, there are 4 other teams that i think could beat them. Of course they all questions marks.

Nuggets - Super deep team with a dominant big man that will be very difficult for the Clippers to handle. Need a crunch time scorer beyond Jokic.
Sixers - Biggest team in the NBA and should have one of the elite defenses. Need reliable perimeter shooting.
Bucks - Either the best or 2nd best player in the league. Good complementary players around him. They need someone to step up to be a bona fide 2nd fiddle

The Clippers are not without question marks though. The team lacks size or a high quality point guard. Beverly is a great bench PG that can play great D and score some points but I doubt teams will be too scared of him in the playoffs.

Yeah. The Lakers are a team that I could see becoming a title contender but they are going to make a move or two to have a chance.

They have to learn how to play together first, then decide what moves need to be made. Their 3rd/4th option Kuzma isn't playing yet either, which will further shift the substitution patterns.

Agreed they aren't the 2017 Warriors. That was one of the best teams in NBA history. They are the best team in the NBA, even if they aren't perfect like the 2017 Ws. And they are winning the title IMO

You are correct.....was chief.

My apologies.

As for being an idiot for thinking LA could take on TT's salary? I agree and why I would have never made such a statement. Think everyone in this discussion have said nearly impossible for that deal to get done. Majority, though, seem to think TT could help LA.

Yeah they aren't going to make any moves for a while. Unless they start out really poorly I would be surprised to see them make a move before Feb or March.

You are calling the pick a reach based on what, exactly?

And here's a flash....teams don't get to use hindsight to make their picks. In addition, bad pick does not = reach.

let's hope Vogel can figure those rotations out quickly...
