that’s the norm. All that and a bag of chips
Tristan balling out tonight.
It's a nice game. I guess you are going to ignore Mostert of SF went for 47 more yards on only 3 more carries? He went for 7.7 ypc. How would you put that in perspective?Lamar avg 6.3 per carry that game. Saying the niners front 7 didn't get destroy when allowing a player to rush for over 100 yards on over 6 YPC is incredibly dumb
To put this in perspective, avg 6.3 per carry is almost a lock to lead the league in that stat every single year but yep allowing that is completely normal
also don't think it was racist. Just a dumb comment.See what?
I'm completely perplexed at how we even got to this point.
The conversation that you chimed in on wasn't even about the game, per se.
Doesn't matter what either of us thinks about Jackson's play.
I still stand by the statement that the announcer wasn't being racist about Lamar's skin color.
He only said it to excuse the fact that the 49ers couldn't do Shit with him.
You picked that one word out of everything I said to start a cyber-slap fight because you got in your feelings about the word destroyed.
I see it the opposite way.No doubt we can all have opinions, but here some facts....seems like a bit of a stretch to say difference was LJs running. I mean, it's not like his ability to run opened up the pass for them. He barely had more than 100 yards passing. Their offense had been on fire leading up scoring 30, 37, 49, 41 and 45 points. I'd say 49ers did quite well to hold them to 20.
SF kicker was 1-2, Tucker was 2-2. That, my friend, is the difference in a 3-point game.
Yeah, it's just best to stay away from that type of commentary in this political climate.also don't think it was racist. Just a dumb comment.
wont speak to your battle with msg, but they held Jackson to 206 TOTAL yards. I'd say they did an excellent job on him overall. Their kicker hitting the big kick and SFs missing had nothing to do with the job done or not done on LJ.
And don't get me wrong....I've become a big fan of his this season.
He went from scoring 40 per game over his previous 5 to 20.Everyone knows what his Super power is.
Yet, the 49ers could do nothing to stop him.
Roughshod? Take a look at LJ's previous 5 games. In 4 of them he ran even better. 8.3 yard/carry, 9.3, 7.9 and 11.9. In the game he didn't run better his team scored 37 points.I see it the opposite way.
They should have taken away his strongest advantage.
If he beats you by air, so be it.
It was pretty obvious he wasn't going to get it done as a pocket passer.
Yet, they still couldn't stop him on the ground.
As for the missed kicks, sure, excellent point.
But, that doesn't have anything to do with Lamar running roughshod over their defense.
If he wasn't killing them with his legs, the score wouldn't have been close enough for the missed kick to matter.
It's a nice game. I guess you are going to ignore Mostert of SF went for 47 more yards on only 3 more carries? He went for 7.7 ypc. How would you put that in perspective?
Previous 5 games Ravens scored over 40 per game on avg. SF held them to 20. Pretty sure if you told SF they'd be holding LJ to roughly 210 yards COMBINED I'm sure they'd have been happy with that.
If they did just fine, why did the 2nd best defense in the NFL give up 100 plus yards in a losing effort? He went from scoring 40 per game over his previous 5 to 20.
Here is what he did in each.....
Seattle - 20 completions for 143, no TDs 7+ yards/pass
14 rushes for 116 yards, 8.3 per carry 1 TD
Pats - 23 for 163, 1 TD nearly 8 yards/pass
16-61, 3.8, 2 TDs
Cinci - 17 for 223, 3 TDs, 13+ ypp
7-65, 9.3, 1 TD
Houston - 24 for 224, 4 TDs, 9+ yards/pass
10-79, 7.9
Rams - 20-169, 5 TDs, 8+ yards/pass
9-95, 11.9
49ers - 23-105, 1 less than 5 yards/pass
16-101, 6.3, 1
The 49ers did just fine against him.
Have to say while he made an extreme comment saying the East was far better, buckalis would not have been wrong if he just said the East will catch up to the West this season and play them close (as they have so far).East>>>>West
So, the fact that he ate them up at a lesser clip means they did a okay job?Roughshod? Take a look at LJ's previous 5 games. In 4 of them he ran even better. 8.3 yard/carry, 9.3, 7.9 and 11.9. In the game he didn't run better his team scored 37 points.
what team would not take holding any QB to 20 points and 206 TOTAL yards when that QB, especially when he had gone for 40 points per the previous 4 games and looking like an MVP favorite.
This was just a tough loss. Nothing more.
want to rip the Browns for losing to another 3rd string QB? I wouldn't stop you.
Games aren't played on paper.East>>>>West
Are you just ignoring what the ravens did their previous 5 games? 1 of which was against the top D at the time while Houston is an excellent defense as well (Rams are OK). That they scored half as many points as they averaged the previous 5 weeks? SF lost because they could not score like they had. LOWEST output in their previous 5 was 24. They averaged well into 30s. They were held to 17.If they did just fine, why did the 2nd best defense in the NFL give up 100 plus yards in a losing effort?
Again: The Ravens had very little going for them outside of Lamar running.
Still, they couldn't stop him.
Contain him on the run, win easily.
Let him get loose...
Well, we already know the outcome.
Agreed.....but in actual games East has played west nearly dead even so far. will it continue? Who knows?Games aren't played on paper.
Clippers are living proof tonight.
You say that as though he went from accounting for 450 yards and they held him to 350. He was held to 206 TOTAL yards. Most QBs will pass for more than that alone. You claimed they are the #2 D and that's why they didn't do well enough......but that team ran all over the #1 D and put up 37.So, the fact that he ate them up at a lesser clip means they did a okay job?
That's like being happy you made it to the 2nd round against vintage Mike Tyson.
You got your ass whooped. But, not as bad as the guys that came before you?
No, I'm not ignoring it.Are you just ignoring what the ravens did their previous 5 games? 1 of which was against the top D at the time while Houston is an excellent defense as well (Rams are OK). That they scored half as many points as they averaged the previous 5 weeks? SF lost because they could not score like they had. LOWEST output in their previous 5 was 24. They averaged well into 30s. That's why they lost.....and that missed kick didn't help.
