Pretty interesting games night tonight, it includes many west vs, east games:

1. Wizzards vs. Cavs: one of the few East only "internal" games tonight, between two teams that are looking to prove themselves back, after only one season of absence from the front scene... That is only what is needed to make it interesting.

2. Magic vs. Grizzlies: The Magic are expected to blow up the bears adding another victory to East's superiority this season.

3. Pacers vs. Pistons: Tough game between two teams in similar trouble, both lucking their leading player, but directly competing against each other for an Eastern playoff seed too... let the better win.

4. Hawks vs. Kings: Hawks are back after two seasons of taking a breather... Kings were competing for a west playoff seed till the last minute last season and just missed it... Hawks convincingly beating the Kings will be a good hint to underline East's superiority this season.

5. Wolves vs. (Crippled) Warriors: West internal... no comment! Wolves may be in a playoff run in the so weak West...

6. Pelicans vs. Raptors: The Pels will never know what has hit them...

7. Mavs. vs. Knicks: This is not fair for the East... Knicks are the worst team in the league and the reason why West conference keeps a similar to the East wins record up now, having dropped all their games against the West...

8. Jazz vs. Bucks:
Bucks have a perfect record against the West up to now and they additionally have achieved these victories away from home... Beating the West's best team in Utah is the next target for the league's best team.

9. Nuggets vs. Sixers: The Jazz have put a great challenge the Nuggets have to overcome by beating the Sixers at home, but the Sixers are a superior team...

10. Blazzers vs. Nets: Both teams are expected to finish the season in a similar seed in their respective conference ranking... The Nets beating the Blazers away from home, will be good enough evidence of East teams superiority...

11. Lakers vs. Heat: If the Heat win this in LA, it will be a good slap in the delusional Lakers fans face to help wake up in reality...

As predicted... the Grizzlies and the Pels never knew what has hitted them coming from the far superior east conference...

Griz prob have the worst roster in the NBA- for this year at least

JJJ and Morant have amazing talent- but dudes are 19.

Griz are about as bad as it gets for an NBA team- in any year.

4 ‘small victories’ Cleveland Cavaliers can point to early in 2019-20 season

actually a fairly interesting part of an article on how Osman went from one of the very worst defensive players in the league to being much improved this year.....

Oh, and in a sentence I didn’t ever expect to type, Osman has been OK on the defensive end. That’s a leap from where he was last year, with numbers pointing to him being a complete liability.

“I mean, who would have thought coming into the season, Cedi Osman is going to become a really good defender, and he is," Beilein said.

OK, so really good is overselling it. But we will give Beilein a pass on this one, as he’s clearly giddy about the incremental improvements. Prior to the season, Osman asked to watch film with defensive mastermind J.B. Bickerstaff. Osman wanted tips on how to get better. Osman also talked with Beilein, who watched clips of Osman’s horrifying-at-times defense.

Beilein noticed Osman was guarding too closely, not using his length. He was trying to be aggressive, picking up his guy around midcourt and unnecessarily challenging him. The Cavs have suggested Osman stay back a bit so he can use his size to stay in front of his man.

With Osman on the floor, opponents have an offensive rating of 108.8. With him off the floor, it increases to 116.9, showing the Cavs as a better defensive team with him -- a drastic change from last season when teammates privately singled him out

For perspective, the 2018-19 ratings for opponents were 121.0 with him on and 113.9 with him off. ESPN’s Defensive Real Plus-Minus had Osman ranked 73rd out of 74 small forwards. The only one worse was rookie Kevin Knox.

Beal got his tonight- 20 pts 9 assists, but the Cavs made him work.....good for the young guys going on the road and beating a team led by a legit all star like beal and holding him to 8/21 from the field.

Now i hope they dont make a habit of winning too many games---- but its nice to see them beat up a team on the road that was favored.

Man o man it feels good as a Sixers fan to have point guards who will score when needed and to play 5 on 5 on the offensive end.

why the Lakers cut Thomas Bryant is beyond me. That guy is extremely cheap and very talented. He is precisely the type of guy you need to get right in order to be able to maintain a roster with supermax type guys taking up a humongous portion of the payroll.

the guy is actually quick enough to get in front of guys. He is big but has enough athleticism so guys just dont blow right by him- which is what you NEED in a "center" nowadays. 2.3 assista game out of a young big man like that is pretty nice as well.
