Actually, both Lebron and AD were on the bench when the comeback started. It was mostly Kuz and bench guys/role players. Lebron came in and helped finish them off.

And that's kind of what I meant re: stressful. No way that comeback happens with him on the bench last year. Basically, so far this year, Lebron is getting to pick his spots when he wants to take over rather than having to be the "lead dog" all game long.

I still think that a completely healthy Clips are the best team.

Depends.

If we get OKC version of Playoff P and you get NOLA vs. Blazers Davis....

It would be hilarious for the Warriors to win. With Houston's defense just about as bad as the Warriors, the Warriors probably have a better chance than one would expect.

Lebron addressed that in an interview after the game. AD had gotten in foul trouble, so Lebron played pretty much the entire 3rd quarter. Normally, he comes out at some point in the 3rd quarter. So, Vogel kept him on the bench longer in the 4th.

My bet is that if the bench doesn't make a run like they did, Lebron doesn't go back in at all.

Probably a little gamesmanship by Vogel too, to put a little pressure on the bench players to step up and not depend on Lebron and AD all the time.

Why does he need to create an offense?

He knew where his strengths were and he also knew where he was weak. He constructed his staff with assistants who made up for his weaknesses and he trusted them to do their job.

Phil did not need to be a great X and O guy to be a great coach.

That is like knocking Kareem because he wasn’t a 3 point shooter. Kareem didn’t need to be a 3 point shooter to dominate.

Mavs squeak by with another win. Few missed free throws and late game coach's challenge are the only thing keeping Mavs from an undefeated record.

Powell is back. JJ Barea is back. Bench playing well. I like what I'm seeing after 7 games. Prolly means the wheels fall off soon, but it's been a good ride so far.
