Normally I would agree. textbook clock management says when you are down you take the first, best shot. Not even hold to 2-3 seconds to extend the game. That way, if they get the rebound you can foul and you still have a shot.

In that situation against Dame?

Dame defies late strategy. Give him a second from SLOB and he is going to find a way to score.

I am okay with the buzzer beater shot. But he had to attack and kick if the defense collapsed.

Caris Levert is not Kobe. And that shot is not his strength.

I'm jealous that the Spurs keep finding guys in the mid to late first round. I wanted the Warriors to draft Keldon Johnson, but they pull a surprise and take Jordan Poole, which doesn't look like a very good decision right now.

It's funny you say that, because a lot of Spurs fans feel like their front office has been terrible in the past few years in terms of drafting young stars. I don't think the front office has been bad, I think the decision to hold them in the G-League has been bad.

I say that, and Keldon also says his time in the G-League is what helped him prep for having an increased role, and is what helped him play so well after the restart.

I'm so damn happy to see all of these young Kentucky guys playing so well.
