Anyone find it funny that KD refuses to play for the Nets this season but was planning on playing for team USA in the Olympics which would have started right around the time the nba season is back

The only thing I can think of is that it's a different level of competition in the NBA playoffs than in the Olympics.

He could have been in the Olympics and had his workload limited because that team wouldn't need him to win the gold medal. They could basically treat it like they would have if he returned at the beginning of, or during the regular season.

For the Nets to have a chance to win more than a game or 2 in the playoffs, let alone win a series or make the finals, they would need him at full strength, playing regular minutes. That would likely be too much, too soon for his injury.

I think the combo of KD & Kyrie even though very talented will end in disappointment for the Nets.

Same here. Not sure how old your sons are. Mine are 27 & 22. And both are outta the house.

Feel a little bad for my youngest son. He graduated from CU this year. But due to the virus the graduation ceremony was obviously cancelled.

They're Daddy's girls until about 12.5 - 13. Then they go completely batshit crazy for about 5-6 years. There were many times I looked at my wife helplessly and asked..."What'd I say wrong this time?"

Then, starting about age 18ish you get your Daddy's girls back again. lol

So, I just saw the updated standing on ESPN where they eliminated the teams and guaranteed the playoff spots.

So is the remaining regular season only going to be 8 more games? With the Lakers being 5.5 games ahead of the Clippers does that mean they can go 3-5 and clinch the #1 seed?

Or are they working on shit to change things around?

When I got to CO. ten years ago two of my nieces (twins) were just entering their teenage years. And living right across the street from them I've seen examples of what kinda drama goes along with teenage girls. Pretty sure that would have driven me crazy.

Yeah, not fair at all to criticize KD for not coming back this season when you consider how last season ended for him.

The Nets are going to be a 7 or 8 seed. They aren’t winning a title this year with or without KD. Getting ready for next season is the right call. Ironically, some of the people criticizing him said he should have sat out last year when he returned to try to win a title.

It doesn't really matter, honestly.

Before the pandemic, the Clippers didn't give a shit about the standings.

Partly because it wouldn't matter against the Lakers.I

They would be the away team all 7 games.

Now, they'll care even less.

With that being said, nobody was catching you anyway.

Teams will only go hard to secure a spot or avoid a matchup.
